Bealieboy replied to bennyk's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
Welcome to my world of doing things on the car and then it going tits up! Hence I pay you and my local German specialist for doing stuff on the golf[emoji15] That's another excellent write up for the work you completed today, I like these project pics. Next ones will be engine building? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

What a shame, how disappointing is that? It looks a cracking car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've heard that only oem is a suitable replacement for the maf and also that a faulty maf will throw other codes too, start with the maf and get the codes cleared and then rescan if you've still access to the scanner, although for the cost of the lambda probe, you may as well replace that and then clear the codes, fingers crossed it will sort your issue! Same for me really, I've had my vr a year now and the only thing I'd swap it in for is a final edition Audi 80 cab which wouldn't have the same performance as the golf.....so I keep the golf and wish I could have both! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've had close to 50 different vehicles, sometimes changing 3 times in a year. I currently own 3 cars and have a van for work, you can't imagine what kind of conflict I have at home over parking as my partner also has her own car and expects to park near the front door so she can unload the shopping?! The joys of being a petrol head! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
RR Day @ Stealth 1st March 2015 now with added show and shine ;)
Bealieboy replied to VR6CABBS's topic in Previous Events
Nice 1 cabbs, you must have practised that thread on paper before posting it! I'm well up for this, whatever day I'll be coming so put me down on the list please. Later part of feb or early March is a good time I think. Just so others know, stealth is in Warwickshire and the postcode is CV47 2PT if you want to google map it to see the location. I think there's a few of us interested in 6 branch coatings, maybe there's a group buy option coming up? [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome to looney bin, that's a pretty corrado you picked up there, nice 1 fella! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could you stay with 288mm discs from the vr6. The escort is similar weight to a golf and so 288's should stop it fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They look like they give a little more contrast to the rear of the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Im the same, I like my golf more than any car I've had in the last few years, i thought about buying a Vr6 for 2 years prior to actually getting the current one. I've owned it a year now, almost the longest I've owned a car since I was 20. I should have bought one years ago! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You don't hang about! Looking good for it though, nice 1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well......... I'm buying those white compos off Bennyk so the ones you can see in the pic are up soon, I'll list the Bbs reps on here once I've done the deal. I've got to find the right balance cabbs between extension and golf, at the moment I'm leaning towards the golf till the Mrs goes loopy again! [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've been doing a little research on ceramic coatings and zirchotec is quite local to me. Once I've got a 6 branch, it'll be getting ceramic coated, the reviews are great and should the lower engine bay temps a fair bit...... Supposedly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

OBD1 vr6 ABV Mk3 Golf, best mods for increasing torque :)
Bealieboy replied to DanChave's topic in Engine Tuning
Bmc cda and a good set of leads should see some more improvement after fitting your other mods. then cams? Get your mods done before your remap to get best results Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
