I believe theres very little to be gain with porting and polishing, better off putting this towards your cams, or valve seats and stems refresh. Those prices sound good though for the work you've been quoted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I should think an oil change would clear any that gets inside. I'm sure redex is a kind of paraffin and we use that in our fuel tanks for its cleaning properties. Just take the little and often approach whilst cleaning, but give it a nice bit of a soak to loosen the worst. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Someone cleaned a gearbox on here a couple of weeks ago with a wire brush and various potions. It came up proper clean. I'll see if I can find it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ignore cabbs, he's as mad as a box of monkeys, and daveyboy's not far behind. In our neck of the woods, we'd call blokes like them retards! My knowledge of the Vr6 extends as far as changing a headlight bulb and making a cup of tea, I'm better at the latter! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
