  1. Cheers for your comments jack. [emoji106] How's that vrt?
  2. I'd get it sorted as fast as you can or this could happen! And it hurts! This was the result of a badly adjusted load apportion valve! [emoji15] I think the info you've been given is fairly accurate, time to get it on an mot brake test rollers and then start the process of elimination!
  3. Got any pics of the kit? What about the rims?
  4. Have you seen any jetta you like the look of? It looks like you've already got leather? So That's a good start! Maybe give the car a good polish etc with some quality products to get the paintwork up nice and bright. A set of coilover suspension would be good to get the car a few inches lower then go for a set of wheels. It's all about personal preference really, we're all different and what I like, you might not. I do know if I saw 20 jetta's at a show that we're all the same, that would be boring, check out some modified vento pics and go from there. [emoji41]
  5. I have an excellent rust free genuine wing in mulberry, I'm based in Essex.
  6. I believe he has, but he's not bumped it for a while. Pm him, he's a descent bloke!
  7. Fuel pump relay. I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty it's relay No.36. [emoji106]
  8. Saunders has a us spec centre console if that's any use?
  9. Hi people, time to sell some of my hoard. I've got a brand new genuine vw drivers wing in its wrapper and a very good, rust free genuine passenger wing up for grabs. These are surely almost gold dust items these days, I'm not sure you can even buy new genuine wings still? Anyway, these both have oval indicator holes and I'm looking for £220 or near offer. I'm willing to meet the buyer to a radius of 40 miles from stanstead airport as these will not be getting in the back of a courier van!!! Also for sale on a well known auction site!
  10. I can't believe how much more soft the leather feels, you can totally feel the difference. Smells good too! I did my crusty old leather gear nob gaiter and its bought the colour up and it's really soft. An excellent product compared to megs, autoglym and similar! [emoji106]

    Hi

They put light a bit further up the rd than a hid with a nice hotspot in the middle... Providing your headlight aim is good. In a single chamber headlight (work van) I find the main beam spreads the light a bit too thin close in but can't deny you can see a long way ahead. All in all, a massive upgrade from an oem bulb and keenly priced too!

    Hi

I run 6k hids and am highly impressed, I've never been a fan of aftermarket hids really and I'm not too keen on them in a normal headlight, but with the projector style like you've got they're not too chav, maybe go for the 4K so they're not as blue. Those osrams are cheap enough though if you pick them up on eBay, far better than a normal bulb. [emoji106]

    Hi

Go for 16"-17" wheels as you'll get a slightly more comfortable drive and I'd recommend Osram nightbreakers for all your bulbs or maybe treat it to some 6000k hids. Err, welcome to the club too. [emoji106]

    Headlamp

Watch out if you are wanting one posted. I bought 2 near side headlamps which both arrived with broken adjusters an went for Hella quads instead!
  15. It's got to be 50% saving over cost of rebuild?!
  16. Hey cook, I bought some gliptone stuff after reading your earlier post. It's the best leather stuff I've used. Thanks for the tip!
  17. Stealth racing would be the ideal place but save yourself a bomb on a rebuild and buy mikes. That's a darn good spec engine he's selling!
  18. Good job I can't see anything there that puts the final bill over about £200, go for it ky and tell your misses what a bargain it all was! [emoji23]
  19. Would it be possible with a petrol saw and a coarse file? If so, I'm your man! [emoji15]
  20. That's probably nothing to worry about then, perhaps the alarm is locking the boot or maybe the fuel flap?
  21. Have you dislodged a pipe from the pump? On the odd occasion when I've dislodged a pipe, the pump will run constantly.
  22. bird slaying, vr6 destroying diesel power!!! [emoji23]
