Anyone know where she is hiding been trying to track it down but no luck ☹.. Would like to track it down and buy it back if possible.. I've done a hpi and it's still alive some where but just sitting around with no tax or mot but it's still insured.

Latest update she's back on the road. WOOHOO!!

I have bought a clutchmasters fx750 clutch
And I've got a 6spd o2m with a diff and 2wd blanking plate, already rewelded the mk3 vr subframe for the gearbox mount relocation and got a dutchbuild mount for it

So after a mate noticed the other day that every time one particular piston was going up and down it was leaving a oily residue near the top of the cylinder we decided it would be best to replace all the piston rings. So took out the rods and pistons and ordered up the rings which I have just picked up along with my timing chain kit which was on order and a new set of big end bearings.
 

 
Now that the rods are out I may aswell go about fitting the forged rods I have bought which I was thinking of saving until next year when I do a bit more to the engine. Will be getting back to work later after I have picked up a honing tool and piston ring compressor from my local machine mart store.

Finally got the engine back few more bits and it can go in :-)

Miss my VRT already, but don't miss the aggro she gave me, if she behaved her self I would of kept her! But believe it's gone to a good home Bahnstorm tuning up Northampton he said he might drive it as is or put running gear in to a b5 s4 but I've now got a mk1 LCR ino it's not gonna be up to the VRT power and deliverance but il give it a go! But sure Enuff I WILL build another VRT but bigger and better

I'm after the multi layer steel head gaskets I've tried volkspares, Gsf, euros and nothing , had to build a new engine with lowwwww milage on it as the other 1 shat itself on the Dyno, but saying that with not a lot of compression in cylinder 3 and a shegged bottom end it still ran 336hp @ 1bar,

Well stuck it together tonight, just to make sure it all fits together still happy with result so thought I'd share.

Completly slammed vw's. They crawl around unable to use their motors and revving lots and stopping through fear of pebbles

Bin the head, if your gonna go forged keep the bottom end as your gonna do a full rebuild on it anyway
