  1. I waited until a 2nd hand airlift kit came up, still wasn't that cheap but it's hardly been used and was as new. Bought it from Robert Friend who's building a supercharged mk3 R32! Good old Ukmk3's![emoji1360]
  2. Punching the computer won't help me here bealieboy! [emoji23]
  3. Got the braided front lines fitted today and secured the front lines to the bottom of the car, I'll look into the SMC valves, they're not by any chance smaller than the viair ones are they? Ive also just ordered a filter for it, which seems like a good idea[emoji1360].
  4. Yes that seems to be the only thing missing from the kit was the braided lines for the front shocks, so I'm waiting on a pair I've ordered, will secure the rears out of the way, once I'm happy with everything else. Realised this stuff takes a fair bit of tweaking and perfecting, probably be playing with it for months! [emoji849][emoji1]
  5. Finally had some time recently to get a start on fitting the air ride onto the car, I managed to get a hardly used Airlift V2 digital set up with twin compressors at reasonable price, Started with swapping the shocks over, I made an executive decision to run all of the airline's out to the shocks under the rear seat, not sure if that's the best idea but I suppose I'll soon find out if it's not![emoji79] Then got it all plumbed in to make sure it all works; It did![emoji51][emoji41] That was it for last weekend, got the tank painted in the week; Decided to hide as much of it as possibl
  6. That's what I thought, he's handy with a computer[emoji1360]
  7. I changed mine, just because of what Pete said and the fact the originals were 20+ years old! Did make a difference[emoji1360]
  8. To be honest I normally just do mine gloss black
  9. Just run the normal red/pink stuff in mine, seems fine[emoji1360]
  10. I've got a sunroof deflector sitting in the shed waiting for the right time to put it on! Always thought they were cool since my Grandad had one on a Merc estate a very long time ago! Found mine on eBay Dom[emoji1360]
  11. Yep as richierich said really, bottom's of the front wing's are the most obvious place to look, sills where they've been jacked up and arches, especially if it's early car with plastic arch trims. Grommets in the floor pans are really common for them to go, front suspension turrets go around the seams, I think that's covered the worst bits! Hopefully that hasn't scared you off! The good thing is though that mk3's are still very easy to get bits for, decent fitting pattern front wings can be bought for around £30 and replacement sills about £20 and there's still plenty of very cheap 2nd hand st
  12. Mines all done, we got there in the end! [emoji16]
  13. I'll be watching because as far as I could see top gear had become too much of an entertainment show for people who know nothing about cars. Watching those 3 doing there best to explode tyres on supercars and ruin some very nice cars (V8 lotus esprit for example[emoji35]) on what had become over budget road trips, (which very clearly towards the end were completely staged) was wearing thin with me. The Bolivia and Vietnam specials were brilliant and I could watch them over and over, but towards the end India and Argentina I think they had too much money to spend and lost the plot a bit! So let
  14. Bloody hell, I thought mine was bad! Looks like I had it easy when it comes to rusty mk3's!
  15. As long as you stay up later than Bealieboy, it was still daylight when he went to bed last time![emoji87][emoji23]
  16. Hi and welcome to the club! Car looks very clean, really like them with the arches still on! Nice wheels as well, they Compomotive's?
  17. I'm pretty sure they do fit, as Mashup Micky on here has a very similar if not the same set up and wheels.
  18. Any chance of someone removing all of the extra posts on here? Thanks in advance! [emoji1360]
  19. Is this why I haven't been able to renew mine over the last couple of days Pete? I thought it was my iPad playing about and nearly launched it across the living room![emoji87]
  20. Plus I could get the hangover from the Friday out of the way on the Saturday and be fresh for Sunday [emoji23][emoji23]
  21. I may try to do the whole weekend this time as there was so much to see and so many people to talk to that it was hard work trying too squeeze it all into the Saturday night/ Sunday!
  22. I'll be up for this, hopefully won't be second from the bottom this time! [emoji1]
