  1. Hopefully get the golf up to the unit soon and crack on. Still on the lookout for a 3 door VR6 interior loom, interior, and also does anybody know if there is some sort of cover that goes over the chassis on the rear panel where I removed the towbar? You can see where the towbar went into the chassis box section in one of the pics at the start cheers Pete
  2. It will be better once I clear all the rubbish the last people left behind! I've painted the walls aswell to brighten the place up a bit
  3. Well, not much has happened the last few months unfortunately my lad split up with his GF and moved back home and the Golf is in her garage, not ideal. Plus I wanted somewhere bigger under cover for both cars which is why I've not touched the Golf as the wheels can be put on and rolled out. So I have now got my own unit for my cars, and foreigners, so I went to my council lockup today put a battery on the VR and air in the tyres and drove it to its new home for stripping, forgotten how good it sounds! But when we got to the unit one of the garages had left a Corsa blocking the doors so we used
  4. My Vento had 230k on the clock when I took it off the road 3-4 years ago. Was rolling roaded at 183 bhp with just over 200k on the clock. Never had a rebuild either, not even a head gasket or chain Pete
  5. Ok, and run a separate relay and wiring or just bridge into the original pump wiring? May be not heavy enough cabling to carry the extra current? Thanks Pete
  6. And leave the original pump powered up too? Or disconnect it? Thanks
  7. How much do they charge for that? Anybody know how much power the standard pump is good for? I am on a tight budget
  8. Am just after a bit of advise off you guys who have done your own turbo conversions and has probably been asked loads of times. What fuel pump setup is best, I'm only aiming for around 300hp, but hear all sorts of stories. Some have fitted walbro fuel pumps but the ones I have seen seem to be in line pumps or is there one that fits inside the original housing in the tank? If running an in-line is it best to have the original pump running aswell? Or would the standard fuel pump be up to the job? What are you guys running fuel pump wise? Just a bit of advise as its the first time I've looked int
  9. From memory(been off the road 3 years) maybe a little. I videoed it on the rollers at well lane and sounded like a TVR and very warbly
  10. I've got a decat on the Vento, with a Sebring/ Remus mix. Did away with the front and middle silencers so basically just had a back box. Sounded awesome
  11. Well I would be in a focus! I think possibly knutsford or somewhere like that, close ish for everybody or suggestions
  12. Anybody fancy meeting up the first sunday of March? Pete
  13. The Mk3 obd plug is inside the car, so hopefully they have kept it wired in somehow
  14. Like Pete says E.C.U. could be anywhere, a lot of people do the conversion different, I've seen under the scuttle or even behind the dash on the passenger side, the diag plug could be anywhere? Are you able to contact who did the conversion?
  15. I've done mine, takes a while to zoom in and load up but that's probably my computer. Its good to see where abouts others live, for local meets and shows. Good idea
  16. I had a similar problem, just felt really sluggish. Not misfiring, that was the cam sensor but was showing a fault on it when the diag was plugged in
  17. I'm up for a meet but busy every sunday this month.
  18. That's good, so Pete when you are in the Caribbean on holiday, you can make your house as hot. I'd rather stay in the caribbean
  19. Yep, agree the cheap flaring tools need throwing in the bin, I learned the hard way, thinking I'd got a bargain
  20. I used GSF around 60 quid at the time, but recommend a bit of contact grease when fitting. They tend to stick on and not using the tool to remove they break easily. Went through several sets as I didn't remove them regularly enough and seized on,
  21. Thanks Andy, just had a look, a lot cheaper than I was expecting. I'm sure the hubs will be the same on all VR6. While I'm at it can anybody recommend an upgrade for the standard VR6 rear brakes? I.e. off another VW/Audi
