Yeah, the pics aren't the best so it's hard to tell. Wheels are filthy. I like dished wheels with the plastic arches but leaving the arches so think these will suit it, quite a clean look. Thought you were popping up today

Well, got quite a bit done today, front end of the Vento stripped. Close to removing both engines now. Sort of offered a wheel up to see if the wheels will suit the Golf, opinions appreciated! bear in mind the wheels will look nicer when refurbished and will sit closer to the arch. Then my mate Mikey turned up with his Bug, a couple of pics for those who like their old VW's

Well finally got the Golf up to the unit today, here's a few pics one on my mates transporter and then at its new home for a while. Progress should improve a tad now! I've also decided to put the turbo conversion on hold and just do the VR6 transplant and get it on the road for a bit, I'm having withdrawal symptoms! Then do the turbo early next year, I blame driving the Vento the other week!

My Vento is 280mm, early -
I'm planning on using the VR6 rear axle off my Vento on my Mk3 Golf. Does anybody know if they are the same, I'm just presuming they are, but not dropped them both down yet but just had a thought that dimensions might be different? Thanks Pete

I promise u I didn't leave it in the pipe! You are lucky it didn't get sucked into the intake!

I don't know how they get away with it because it used to be illegal to show blue at the front. People with blue bulbs used to get pulled all the time years ago

Cheers, I'm going to use them out of the vento then but does anybody know about the door catches? I presume they are going to be the same

Does anybody know if the front electric window regulators and also the central locking catches are the same on the 3 door as the 5 door? I know the looms are longer but not sure if these are the same. Thanks Pete

I've took this towbar off now, does anybody know what covers the holes in the rear panel covering the box sections? Or are they all open? Cheers

Other thing make sure the two rubber connectors haven't been split, could be sucking in air somewhere. I was never keen on them as they seem very soft and flexible, was going to use silicone samco pipes

It can't be the pipe Steve, ran perfect on mine. I also run the 2.9 throttle body

It can't do, it's only a smother version of the original. It ran perfect on mine

When I took it off, I had the pipe on the back which is for the idle valve I think? make sure it's a tight fit. And the breather one at the front was blanked as I ran a breather filter on the cam cover. It ran okay the other week when I drove the car up to my unit

No, they look and fit as well as the originals but they don't have the round lamp inside like the originals

Sorry for going off subject. Mine in the vento are inpro with the long indicators and fitted really well
