    I used to use the autoglym plastic and vynal restorer which was ok but didn't last too long on faded plastics so I'v. Started using meguires plastic trim restorer (not sure if that's the proper name, will look later) and it makes the plastics look New and seems to last for ages. I done a coat on everything nearly 2months ago and they still look good and it's only half the price of the gtechniq stuff

    Nah don't break it. It took me 18mth to get mine all sorted and I felt the same a few times but I plodded on and and got it exactly the way I wanted it and I'm chuffed to bits with it and enjoying every minute of it

    I'll be putting my winter wheels on (standard bbs's) give it a few nice coats of wax foe a bit of protection and using it as little as possible

    I went for a Sachs clutch in the end. Just need to find the time to fit it now I'll throw my coilovers on at the same time while I've got the use of my mate's 2 post lift

    Well I think Luk is the one that VW use. I'll not be getting a valeo one then lol.

    We'll the time has come to replace my clutch and I don't know what to go for I was going to get an Luk kit but I'm sure I read on here people were having problems with them and recommended to go for a Sachs kit. What would yous go for?

    I'd love to help out Pete but I'm in the same boat as you mate tied up with Work and my family all the time. But over the short time I've been on here you've done a good job with the forum mate. I hope everything get sorted soon

    It should of dropped maybes an inch by chopping a coil off. I used to do it years ago when I was a skint apprentice and there was a noticeable difference :@

    For the switches and Everything to work properly you could put the mk3 dash in the mk2. I'm not sure how easy it is to do but I've seen a few done and it looks better than the mk2 dash in my opinion

    It's abut far south for me but I fancied a trek down. Would of been good to of had a club stand. Would of been good to have met some of the guys off here

    I put up a post a few months back about the VW festival at harewood house, Leeds that happened this weekend and didn't get any interest from anyone. And when I got there there was 3 lads off here one was on the same local club stand as me and there was another lad with a mystic blue mk3 with black and yellow cc interior on another club stand. It would of been nice to have a VR6OC stand there too. I know all 500 members that renewed there membership couldn't of came but another 10 or so could of it was a great show, quite a big one too. Maybes next year we could get a stand organised
