  1. 165 might be a tad too much. I'm not sure that beads will seal on that much stretch. I think 185 would be my limit. I'll put a pic of my 7.5 with 195's on over the weekend and see what you think Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
  2. I run 7.5 up front with et35 offset I think and I needed 20mm spacers for the to clear the caliper but I've been told that that's just dare drrs's. I have to run 195 width tyres tho otherwise the tread sits out of the arches I also like a bit of stretch and ive got 205's on my rears which are 8.5's
  3. Ahh that's good. I suppose going to brooklands every year might get boring Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
  4. Ahhh Man I'm gutted I couldn't make it do you think you'll be organising it again next year Pete? Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
  5. Hmm I could be interested in this too. Just all down to costs at the minute. I'll have a look into it Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
  6. I was led to believe the same as SNH. As long as the tread is in the arch there isnt a problem. My mate's a mot tester and he passed mine with stretched tyres ;) lol but he said it was a bit of a sticky one Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
  7. Mine's right behind my headlight but I still want to put a cold air feed from the bottom of the bumper up to the filter. when I had my mk4 20v turbo I had the cone right down in the bottom of the bumper. It also had the R32 bumpers so I cut the grille in the bumper so cold air was rammed into the filter lol. The colder and denser the air you have going to the engine give a better explosion in the cylinders
  8. I'm really gutted I couldn't make it
  9. Could cause a fire having a paper or cotton filter virtually on top of the manifold. You need it as far away from the heat as you can really somewhere where there's a nice cold feed into filter
  10. Or how about a vote on pics that have been posted?
  11. Can you make them with a bigger reduction in the throw? I like a fairly notchy feel to my gear change
  12. Me please Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk now Free
  13. Nice thinking batman. I would have a VR6OC seat cover to keep my CC leather nice and clean mind :-D
  14. Well Pete did he??? Full on the lips too lol
  15. Mine either they were just on a mk3 that me and a mate bought for parts for my mate's mk2 that we're doing an 1.8t conversion on and I too the rear screen so I lose the holes for the rear spoiler on my VR. How's £30 for each sound?
  16. I know you said your getting your boot frenched but would you be interested in a totally flush boot? I.e the number plate recess has been plated. The badge and the wiper mount have been flushed too. I also have a rear bumper with a number plate recess in it with number plate lights and the swadge line has been flushed. There in dragon green. The boot has a little patch of rust starting to bubble but if your getting them painted that could be sorted at the same time
  17. I've just bought a cl boot to do the same to mine coz the rubber grommet. Leak slightly whining rains heavy or Chennai wash the car. So I'll be doing the screen swap asap as I got my boot frenched when I had my full shoot done
  18. Cheers guys for keeping a good club running well
  19. I used a bit of brake cleaner and a scotch pad and flat screw driver. That was to clean it and key it at the same time. That could of been your problem Lukey. What sort of paint did you use. I used a black basecoat for my lettering and it dries quick
  20. Did you clean inside the lettering properly Lukey? That the only thing I can think to why it bubbled. Maybe a slight reaction with something?
  21. I painted the plastic cover (with the VR6 DOHC writing on) with the paint I had the car resprayed in and it's lacquered and it's been absolutely fine. No bubbling or anything. I'm going to whip the inlet manifold off and do the same so I'll let you know how that turns out
