  1. Sorted out the starting problem. Bad earth. Need to sort out the earths. Mine doesn't have an imboliser as it's 1992.
  2. Ok I will dig out my mk3 one. All fuses are ok, can someone post up a picture of the starter motor please? Will double check I have the wires correct.
  3. No, will I need to due to the different key?
  4. I am coming to the end of my mk2 vr6 project as most is done. It won't start. Lights come on clocks etc. One of the relays clicks. I think it's relay 109. Most of the other things are currently working but stating is the next main part. It is an obd1 but using the mk2 ignition barrel. Also using mk2 160 mph clocks. Mk3 fuel tank is being used too. If someone could help it would be much appreciated!
  5. Any luck with the wiring? I am also struggling with this at the moment. And that looks mental
  6. £1800 and going up when I tell them about the nos lol
  7. One day my dear boy you will learn and accept the upgrade to a mk3....... ......says me who owns a mk4 lol Lol I had a mk3. Good but it died of rust. so went for a mk2 but upgraded most bits with mk4 calipers etc. Anyway lol.
  8. lol fair enough mate as said would be boring if we all liked the same thing !! Definitely.
  9. hmm well only about 75kgs lighter by the time you add in the vr engine so not a lot ! hardly better handling as most mk2vr6 owners just stick the heavy vr lump in and dont upgrade any of the suspension components ! most of them I have been in handle terribly ! I am pretty sure the vr didnt come as standard in a mk2 so I am not sure there will be a standard mk2 quicker than a standard vr but I will agree flip paint is very very gay I meant a standard engine. Lol not a pocket rocket like stigs. Let's just agree to disagree. And my mk2 has no rust either! I really do prefer them to the mk3's!
  10. I completly disagree! the MK2 is much lighter than the mk3, better handling, quicker as standard. plus flip paint is gay
  11. Haha you really hate the mk2 don't you. I also have one. Good fun. Much better than the mk3
  12. I got mine from demon tweeks. About £4 a meter.
  13. Went for the Saturday. Met Tony. Saw him break a shaft. Picked up my laughing gas. Good day!
  14. You really need mk3 stuff for the extra weight,
  15. Just leaving from Manchester. See you all soon!
  16. Nice looking car dude! I think I have a heated seat loom knocking around somewhere if your interested!
  17. I will be there with a few of my mates hopefully all weekend.
  18. I am 22 with a mk2 Vr. 3 years ncb. £1800 tpft.
  19. I am deciding on wheels at the minute. http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=1183 What about a set of these? Going on the mk2.
  20. I used mk4 caliper and carrier. Mk3 disc. All 288 as I only had 280 discs on. And currently stuck with 15" wheels. I only had to space it out by about 2.5 mm using washers as the mk3 discs don't sit out as much. Got the flexis from Tps as they come with banjos needed.
  21. Too young, non standard engine mostly.
