You probably wouldnt hear it over the vr lump, sometimes when you turn ignition on you will hear pump before you crank it over.

I'd like to try and make some sort of meets as im still a newby really to this club...so would like to try and make this one!! Want to see Parky's build go round it!! and other peoples of course. There is no team wales,i think i may poss be the only member!?!..so maybe team south could extend and abopt for the trip as im pretty close!?!lol ...i dont have some mean power machine mind so maybe not...ha ha..i would understand ha ha

Guys, im in the middle of a job....cant open back passenger door. Iv managed to get the door panel off with the door shut...bit tricky...im in the door. I cant seem to do anything else,....there's a white housing. Any ideas if i can get into this or what i should be doing now!?!? This is all after i noticed this door wasnt flush, so i slightly moved the bracket on the arch which work. Then i noticed that the actual lock mech in the door was missing 2 bolts...i replaced these. This made the door a little to far in, so thought move bracket back to where it was...this is when i couldnt open the d

Mine feels really sturrdy!! maybe you can just buy a new clip???
-
Seats right out is it!?
-
Yes, yes i do know...lol It should be a tiny plastic clip. I fixed mine only last weekend, the cable that slides up and down the runner has a metal lump on it that fits in the plastic clip. Can be fixed with a cable tie. There's a guide in the members area of here to check out. Its a simple fix,for free.

Hmmm quite a few typo's in that there,..im not retarded i promise, just not watching as typing ha ha. Anyway help guys.lol

Well thought i would be a bit clever and do another one of those little jobs you mean to get round to... Rear passenger door slightly sticks out..not flush. So thought i would move the bracket on the rear arch(you know the one) in slightly, thus pulling door flush. Torque peice in hand, bracket lossened, bracket nudge in a few ml's, tigthen...tidy. Door closed, flush...again tidy. Then on opening the door i noticed that 2 of the 3 bolts holding the lock mechanism in the door where actually missing. So 2 bolts later all done....you guessed..tidy. open close open close all good!!! Then i noticed

OMG well happy today squeezed myself in to the footwell after pulling my cd player out and sorting a glitch,...happy with that, white clip fine.... Two bolts to clutch master cylender near the end of their threads, rachet, socket and a bit of the righty tighty motion, nice and tight brought the pedal up to the top. Feels so good taken all the gear change worries(cruches) so smooth and quick. Paul Parky your a bloody saviour!! So clutch is prob fine which is awsome!!! see why im happy. ...although if my suspcion of my chains needing changing will be required clutch will have to be changed anyway -
Im experiencing similar rattle,no smoke. Put a thread up,...response has been chains, tensioners etc cost a few hundred alone, hen you need clutch to...as danh said your going to whan OE parts. You dont want to be dishing out cash again in the not too distant future...the guys on here know only to well when not to save on parts in certian area's. I was told in general a garage will charge 1 - 1 1/2k to do,alot of labour. Is that quote definately with parts included?? and not labour + parts to be bought??

Ash fella the whole 21 one thing is a myth...they then say 25 then when you hit 25 its oh premiums have gone up to cver non insured driver accidents plus inflation etc...all boll*x.lol Karl - 28, feel 28 or older and look maybe 27 ha ha ha Im not sure when the age thing started when i have to do a lil swing of the legs to get momentum to get outof bed in the morning...with a lil noise of errgh.ha ha

Thanks guys...as i said not expecting outstanding performance from a set under 200 tbh, but iv a bent shock and im sure if you replaced for standard shocks it would cost as much as the coilovers so makes sense to go coilies route -

True ben....i was thinking this with the jom ones i was looking at says along the lines o 1.6/1.8/2.0t/di/vr6...was thinking if its all one fit why pay more money cos you have a vr6...are you just being ripped off!?!??! -
There's budget coilovers like JOM, Jamex etc for between 160 odd to 200,you kinda know its a slight upgrade from standard, hadling wise and massively on looks but hardly expect weitec/av etc standard... but is this going tooo budget...however 3 years warranty when the other bdget ones have 2 years http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Coilover-Suspension-Kit-VW-Golf-III-/160463712833?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item255c61f241
