i cheated and got vw to do mine lol lol lol but yes if you have a easybleed kit then do as you have said just make sure you keep the bottle topped up and at worst you got vag-com to bleed the pump if need be
hit the nut mate but make sure its on far enough so its got a good grip on the threads better than hiting the end of shaft because that can swell the threads and you won't get the nut back on
not sure on what you would need to do to the valves or lifter but i would use pertol and a scoreing pad on the piston heads one of the plastic ones i'm sure one of the tech heads will be along later to help with other parts mate
well my kit came with them the proper factory type ones that you pull up like a wire tie then crimp up but i would have thought a wire tie would hold it mate
don't need to be a skrewdriver just somthing small that the boot will slide up mate and just keep working it around mine took less than 15 min then filled it with the greese from small end and done the clip up tight
yep in car just used a very small electical one from the fat (g/box) end and just made sure it was blunt so not to puncture the boot and worked it around whilst pulling like a bitch
i put a small skrewdriver into the boot then worked it round as i pulled it on but was bloody tight also used very small amount of washing up liquid to help it slide
