  6. quite roads bloody manic round here all weekend somtimes i hate liveing near the beach

  9. if you do it via vag-com they do recomend haveing all 4 wheels off the ground
  10. i cheated and got vw to do mine lol lol lol but yes if you have a easybleed kit then do as you have said just make sure you keep the bottle topped up and at worst you got vag-com to bleed the pump if need be
  11. no ideas at all here mate sorry but may be worth putting this in the genral vr6 maintance section so you get more views
  12. normaly the plug leads or coils will cause this if they get wet

  14. hit the nut mate but make sure its on far enough so its got a good grip on the threads better than hiting the end of shaft because that can swell the threads and you won't get the nut back on
  15. not sure on what you would need to do to the valves or lifter but i would use pertol and a scoreing pad on the piston heads one of the plastic ones i'm sure one of the tech heads will be along later to help with other parts mate
  16. well if you not got a copper or hide hammer i would put the nut back on a good few threads then as you say block of wood and big hammer
  17. each to there own mate yes they should really torqued down right but i would be suprised if many garages actully do it
  18. i allways use copper slip mate i a just do them up untill i think yeah thats about it never torqued them down
  19. not sure over there mate as said mine came with the boot as a kit
  20. well my kit came with them the proper factory type ones that you pull up like a wire tie then crimp up but i would have thought a wire tie would hold it mate

  22. don't need to be a skrewdriver just somthing small that the boot will slide up mate and just keep working it around mine took less than 15 min then filled it with the greese from small end and done the clip up tight
  23. yep in car just used a very small electical one from the fat (g/box) end and just made sure it was blunt so not to puncture the boot and worked it around whilst pulling like a bitch
  24. i put a small skrewdriver into the boot then worked it round as i pulled it on but was bloody tight also used very small amount of washing up liquid to help it slide
