Here's a quick very baffling update Ok where do i start lol,,,,,,,,, charged up the dead battery indoors and put it back into the car and car just clicked than i noticed that the alarm light was on (baring in mind this never worked before all this happened) so i pressed the button on the key fob, car started yay, and then noticed that my hazard lights were on, pressed button again they went out. That was yesterday. Went out to the car today got in pressed button started the car no flashing lights so i think i've worked that one out and as a bonus i seem to have a working alarm lol after i

behind the drivers side reflector is a threaded hole, your towing eye should be under your rear bench near the middle seatbelt anchors. and just screw that in sir and away u go

cheers ben, and pete which of these do people call the crack pipe main thermostat housing - 021 121 117A - £22.45 + vat connector to water pipe - 021 121 133D - £9.45 + vat thermostat cover - 021 121 121A - £9.45 + vat are these vw part numbers

ok thanks for all your help guys I tried two battery's, maybe i should jump lead them together and try that lol. i've ordered a thermostat housing form euro car parts but they dont know what part the crack pipe is and niether do i. what is the real name for it and where is it located. They said they have two thermostat housings listed for my car, one with just one tube coming out of it and a complicated one. i've ordered the complicated one as everything under my bonnet looks complicated to me lol I'm gonna try and get out there today but i'm babysitting at the moment so i cant do it yet. i'm

i took the battery off charge two days ago and it was fully charged. when it didnt start i tried another battery and i did the same the thermostat housing is only dripping would i really lose that much coolant out of that when i havent used it since last thursday

i'm just really disshearted thats all coz i've only had the car two months and had nothing but trouble so far. i've always want a VR but now regretting it the clicking is coming from the engine bay i think but its hard to tell when i'm sitting in the car to start it.

This will probably need to be moved to another room now but i need your help guys I charged up the battery, I managed to get in the car and pop the bonnet and my worsed fear was confirmed, all my coolant was gone i refilled it with nearly 3 litres of coolant and wanted to start the car so i could warm it up and make the coolant go round the whole engine so i put my battery back in. turned the key and now it dont start at all, its just clicking. so to add to my problems i now have 1 a bad coolant leak (the thermostat housing is dripping) 2 a leaking rocker gasket 3 a knackered alternator 4 it
