ok i'm gonna take it off tomorrow and give it a good clean hopefully that will sort it. It did it again earlier i was stuck in the 40mph speed limit on the A1 going under the hatfield tunnel and when i came off and stopped at the lights it was fluctuating between stalling and 1500rpm so i'm getting a bit concerned now, and with the misterious water leak and oil leak i am starting to lose heart in VR ownership just after 1 month

dont know really where to start here, I'm losing about a pint of water if not more a week, i do roughly about 60 miles a week. there is no obvious leak me and my mate have had a good look around the engine bay, The water smells of coolant not exhaust fumes No obvious signs of water getting into the engine oil But the guy who had the car before me fitted a oil catch tank and when i went to empty it two weeks ago it was full of water :s Any ideas guys

I noticed today that after i boot the car for a bit and stop at traffic lights or whatever the idle speed seems to fluctuate between 400 and 1000 rpm for about 30 seconds then goes back to normal. It was in wet conditions and it was the first time i've used the car for nearly two weeks, the car was fully warmed up. What dya recon ?? Cheers john

we've still got a good 5 inches of snow round the area i live. its a big headache i was meant to be going out tonight but no joy. I tried the boiling water this morning after 5 mins it was ice. -6 here

Yeah i heard that aswell mate but the only thing is i cant go anywhere coz the rear wheels arn't moving and the front wheels are on ice. so all i do is really cool burnout (just without the smoke) lol

I've just tried to move the car again, i dont think its my brakes that have frozen i think its my hand brake cable. how can i sort this out?
