    I've been into VW's since i was 14 i'm 34 now and been driving for 16 years nearly. i have had many cars since been driving but i have never had a car like my vento VR. I had the oppertunity 9 years ago to own my 1st Dub which was a Mk2 Jetta 16 valver since then i have had 2 Vento's 2 mk3 golfs 2 mk2 golf valvers and then "for a change" i decided to buy myself a phase1 saxo vts. i modified it and made it mine in the year that i had it but there was something missing, it wasn't a dub. the best thing i have ever done (apart from my children) is getting into dubs. the second best thing was getti

    I can feel your frustrasion mate, My VR was killed by a pug 206 GTi last week. and it was standard

    will the leads get damaged in anyway coz they will be pretty closed in, lots of heat between the rocker cover and inlet mani :S

    this is an easy one coz i did it on my old vento 1, scotch cloth your bonnet 2, spray with matt black 3, rollor on the chalkboard paint 4, leave it to dry for at least 7 hours before writing on it Easy as that. Chalk board paint can be bought online or i think wicks sells it to. you need to rollor it on to get it right as its too thick to spray. I have some here as i'm doing my roof in a few weeks time if your local pop over and we'l do your bonnat at the same time.

    For the past 3 months i've been using my passengers door lock to open my car coz the drivers side barrel was broke as the little loop on the back of it was snapped off. At gti fest last weekend the passengers side barrel did the same. I rang round a few places and the only thing i can get is a barrel repair kit from VW which has the paddel already attatched to the rear of it. BUT they sad i need to take the plates out of my existing barrel and fit them in the new barrel shell so i can use my existing key I've looked at my old barrel and i cant work out how to get them out :s Has anyone ever d

    quick update. Went to hatfield today which is a 40 mile round trip and noticed something strange about the handling it felt wobbly and it was swerving as as i went round roundabouts. Also felt as if i was driving over rumble strips all the way. The feeling wasn't coming from the steering wheel but from under my feet/pedals. So when i got back i decided to jack it up to have a look using the car jack on the front drivers side jacking point. Jacked it up wheel came off the ground and was just about to give the wheel a wiggle to see for any play and the whole car dropped down. The jack disappear

    the previous owner must have known about it coz on the passengers side he has RIVITED a plate over one of the holes and fibreglassed the edges of the plate

    what do you guys think i should do ? I have a Vento VR6 but since i've had it (3 months) i've had running problems, new lambda sensor, new maf, gone through two alternators, and now i've found out it needs a new n/s sill and the rear floor pans are rotten. the mot is due in may.

    Cheers guys i'm gonna have to hold that knowledge at the back of my mind for now coz i got as far as trying to get my rear wheels off and snapped my wheel brace and broke my rachet
