Anyway the VR has been sitting on the drive for the best part of 6 weeks and the battery went flat. I had to jump start it to get it in my garage on Saturday 15th to raise the coilovers before it went in for new sills and an MOT. The car did not jump start first time and i couldnt disable the alarm so i disconnected the battery waited a few minutes and tried again and it started fine. I jump started it on Saturday 19th not a problem, got it to the garage and now the car wont start. We

Or do i just need to keep pouring water into the expansion tank and leave the cap off with the engine running until the fans kick in? Also how much coolant to water do I put in? Thanks in advance, Gill.

  12. It all boils down to personal preference but like a said just have a play around with the standards for now to see if you will benefit or as Craggsy said leave standards in the rear.
  13. I have one pair of Alpine comps to the front running straight from the head unit and nothing to the rear disconnected them as you wont really benefit from them but give it a go play with the fader to see the benefits for yourself. I have a Alpine IDAX100 ipod unit (I think) or something similar.
  14. I went for some Alpine R Type components as i just wanted some decent sound like you get in most new cars. Got great clarity but found i still had to run a small sub with a very small amp just for some low mellow bass. If you are after bass from your door speakers i think you will find it very hard to achieve.
  15. Mate I replaced mine a few months ago and i found the easiest was is to use the existing wires and loom (no need to try and drill holes in the door, it's a b****!) And depending on the size of your crossovers they should just sit nicelt in the dash under the tweeters. You will find the the speaker output from you stereo goes to your tweeter in your dash then another lead comes from your tweeters to your door speakers and thefore perfect place to put the crossover.
  16. I have a 911 and a VR as my everyday toy however I still prefer to drive the VR on the weekends and insurance for both is just under £1k
