    Nice pics, I want these so bad now!!! I was reading on another site that the standard headlights aren't suitable for HID conversion, as you get too much glare or something? Is this true? Sanchez it looks like you have standard headlights with the conversion, you had any issues?

    Thanks guys yeah I thought about just filling it with that stuff but then I thought I might break my car lol. Last time I used it in the house it was stuck to my skin for weeks! I think I might just wrap some electrical tape around any loose metal stuff and hope for the best! Any other ideas welcome though!

    Hi guys, so I've had my fron passenger door card off in order to eliminate some annoying rattles from behind there. I found some broken glass, an unconnected speaker wire (I have no stereo so wouldn't have noticed!) and also 2 broken plastic trim clips. All this I can sort but I was wondering if anybody has had similar rattles and applied any other measures like foam/padding etc? Has anybody tried to fill the door with some sort of padding? While I have the door card off I am ready to try anything to stop these noises! I suspect it may be the door lock pin rattling in it's guides or something?

    Ayup mate, yeah anything would help! Just what sort of kits to get and what sort of price for the ballasts and bulbs etc... They hard to fit and are they worth it? Look forward to seeing pics!!

    Hi guys, I was reading an interesting thread the other week on this site concerning a good price HID kit and someone who had fitted one was going to put up a guide - what you need/how to fit etc? I just wondered if this had gone up yet? I would like to change the woeful lighting on my standard VR6 and would like a few pointers! Cheers

    Hi guys, hope you don't mind me chipping in as I will probably change my exhaust next year. I hear good things about Dubpower (HT Lleads, manifolds etc...) but I notice they also do a full stainless system for the VR6. Does anybody here use this system or know if it's any good?

    It means Inspection 1 or Inspection 2 Service. if you look in the manual it tells the difference. I think IN01 is basic lube service, whereas IN02 is stuff like plugs and air filter maybe? Either way it means empty your wallet. Cheers.

    Hi guys, just had a look at Venom and these caps only lower the front by like 10mm and our cars look like they are on stilts! Had a look and I think for us some JOM springs would do the trick lowering by 50mm at the front and 25mm at the back - £73.55 a set! Seems like a good compromise. Cheers

    Hi guys I am in the same boat as you can see from my pics, my VR is standard - very high at the front but the back is fine. I'm not into the slammed look but I would like to sort out the front for looks! Are lowering caps for the front the way forward?

    Totally agree with Kelster, My OBD1 VR6 doesn't have heated mirrors (i don't think anyway) but has electrically adjustable mirrors. Shocking omission on the fuel light as well, it's pretty dangerous!

    I noticed the same note on the fuel filler - I have been using 95 RON all the time though and it seems to run just fine.

    No idea if VW do this as a replacement part or not! Any ideas for a suitable wire mesh substitute? I wondered about a rolled up piece of wire wool but not sure if its too thick and also don't want it falling into the crankcase! Thoughts?

    Hi guys, this has happened to me a few times now. When the car has been stood for a while (particularly in the cold/wet) when I start her up the engine catches and fires but instead of settling to idle it just stalls. Sometimes it will do that 2 or 3 times before getting it's ass into gear. I have an OBD1 1994 vehicle. As a minor point as well, sometimes when it fires up there is a crunching/grinding noise that sounds like a belt or something slipping as it fires, then it goes away. Any ideas amigo's?

    Hi guys, I have been told by a mechanic who inspected my car that the rear axle bushes have had it and the bonding is split/broken. Anyone know how much this costs to replace with labour? Also is it worth replacing them with Powerflex items? Cheers!

    Hi guys, so I replaced my crankcase breather valve today (Ford Galaxy part) and as I removed the old split one I noticed like a coil of wire like a birds nest sticking out of the metal pipe from the crankcase... i managed to get hold of it and pull it out and it was like a tightly wound coil acting as some sort of primitive mesh, but it was all twisted. Is this supposed to be there does anyone know? Or was it rammed in there by a previous owner do you think? A weird one I know!

    Am I right in saying the VR6 takes 6.5 litres so you have to buy 2 of the buggers? Makes for an expensive service what with 6 plugs as well!

    Ok cheers guys, think I am gonna order the Ford parts for the Galaxy V6 and fit them myself. Thanks for the advice!
