    Thanks guys, that's great! Does it make a difference if my car is an OBD1? Does the Ford part still apply? Also are the parts easy enough to swap, are they accessible etc? Cheers!

    Hi guys, My cam cover breather hose is split (apparently) and the car has a frequent beat/blip at idle due to the unmetered air entering the system.I have been told this is dangerous as the car will be running lean and cylinder head temps could be higher etc... So I need to buy the £85 kit from VW. I have been told that the Ford Galaxy V6 Inlet Tract is the same part (same engine) and is like half the price, is this true? Also is it an easy enough job to swap out with basic mechanical skills? Or is it a right pig? Any comments and help appreciated! Cheers!

    Hi guys, I just wondered if replacing the front brake discs and pads on a 94 Golf VR6 is something you could attempt yourself with some basic mechanical skills? I have access to axle stands and a trolley jack, but is this a harder job best left to a mechanic? I am thinking of the hydraulics/ABS system etc... I am just replacing the brakes with standard stuff. Let me know what you think, I would be interested if you anyone has done the job themselves before! Mark
