  2. Didn't really have to sell at all to be honest, just felt bad putting big miles on It went last thursday in the end I know have a Lexus IS200 which cost less than I sold the golf for! Went for close to the asking price.
  3. Well, just thought I would put the last pics up now that its sold subject to collection. Fully polished with Autoglym and another coat of collinite 476 wax on last night before todays viewing. Should be going to someone who wont be putting 400 miles a week on it either!
  4. Only one close is the GlubGTI monthly meet at the Tudor Rose by 2 Mills on the way to Chester. First Wednesday of the month from 6.30pm
  5. Mk4 look lights that I had fitted. They need a repair to the clips as the mounting tabs have broken. I am going to try to repair them. They also let the moisture in.
  6. Gearbox lock removed, oil change carried out. Back to standard on the front. Original headlights, chrome badge and grill badge back on. But I think I miss the black one
  7. A few more pictures of my mostly standard 3 door. I don't know if I should put the chrome grill badge back on or keep the black?!
  8. Goodluck for the MOT and the wedding! Its got a 90's look going oin with the League wheels, not sure on the rar lights hough. It would look like my mates old golf from 98 with a pair of Morrettes!
  9. I commute 50 miles a day on clear dual carriage ways and sit at 60 in the mornings My average trip for the last 12000 miles is 31 mpg. I normally get around 290 to 310 from a tank Best ever was 42mpg for a 60 mile trip!
  10. Well its taken a long time to get anything done, and this is a very minor one. Mudflaps off Played out TT comps on! £25 refurb in the garage, they were heavily corroded! Lupo gear knob finally on! 320mm Momo Jet to go on when I get a boss. Early splitter on. Black grill badge, might go and put the orange turns back on soon. I do have a bumper to start to smoothing process on soon. I know it really needs to be lower, but unless I go air, I cant. 25 speedbumps to get to my house, and working on building sites.
  11. I have a lupo one, which is I think the same fitment, they dont screw on they just push on and have a metal clip that need tightening to fix them. I tried a tie wrap as tight as I could get it but it was still slightly loose. Also it sits too high, and makes the throw af the gearstick too far. A few people have ended up cutting down the gearstick. I am going to drill out the inside of the gearknob to get it lower. Lupo ones also have an attached gaiter, which is elasticated like the VR one
  12. I have just got a pair of rear door handles to fit, only thing worrying me is that at some point someone has removed the drivers side door lock pin, and replaced it with an LED! I want to keep the pins, incase I get locked out, can always get in through the boot afterall!
  13. I have just bought comps for mine, will the rear flat centre caps not fit of the hub nut cover or are you missing a cap? Looks goo by the way mate!
  14. Just a quick picture less update! I didnt like it with the amber indicators, so they were only on for a week! Have a few bits I want to fit over the weekend, I have a set or rear door handles to fit, a black grill badge, chrome interior handles, and a lupo gear knob. Just need to drill out the inside as it sits far too high. Aero wiper blades also fitted. I was going to get a new headunit at Christmas but ended up buying a set of Audi TT comps in need of a refurb, so been doing that since the start of the year. Still a long way to go though. Finally fitted my Induction kit, and love the noise
  15. Cheers folks, it is a very blank canvas, it has been lowered on struts and springs and has a stainless back box. I have a Carbon fibre induction kit to fit, after I get a small piece of 90mm silicone pipe
