  1. Juyst looked it up, the bottom rail and tensioner are the same. The upper rails are different, there's the additional rail between the cam sprockets and all start with 066. Chains are all different.
  2. Some of them are, probably the bottom ones then
  3. The single row tensioners are identical part numbers for mk3 and 4 too you know.
  4. Had an elring delivery today Head Bolts Crank seal
  5. Lukey.

    Car S.O.S

And the stag with the alternating pedal setup, clever.
  6. Haha hopefully im up to the task as ive got myself, some axle stands and jacks.
  7. Plans may have changed slightly so I've got some more parts for my increasing pile All the tensioners and guides and new flywheel bolts Inlet manifold upper and lower, and manifold to downpipe gaskets
  8. From the looks of the guides on here and other sites pretty straightforward. I'll be undertaking this myself soon so will find out for real.
  9. So did I on your say, so I hold you responsible for mine to lol
  10. Christ they are brave ! Gun metal for the win.
  11. You would need at least 17s and the offset would have to be pretty huge on the rim, you can see on all cupras, Ibiza, Leon, the rim bows out a fair way to clear the calliper, Porsche ones are probably a better, easier bet as loads of people have done it already so there's basically off the shelf kits for it.
  12. No help I'm afraid but as an aside I got quoted for genuine rear bearings £50 each side, as the bearings basically die with the disc on the rear I just put SKF bearings in for £12. If no answer by time I look tomorrow if I have time I'll look in the manual for you.
  13. When I read it I was well up for doing it, but €50 is takin the piss, maybe 5 haha
  14. The Montreals in that gunmetal colour work well on the mk3
  15. It had the same connector as the 70amp a square 2 pin one, the part number is in my project thread in members rides search through it
  16. Its been a long time coming hehe Do you reckon you got a more more horses out of the OBD2 conversion too then?
  17. The clutch arrived today. This is the end of parts I have ordered up to now, now I have to save my pennies so I can get the tensioners and guides etc.
  18. The full set is quite heavy though isn't it? I want to make a thread chaser.
  19. My bargain genuine gasket arrived this morning
  20. 1 bottle of green PAS fluid from VW is enough, they only sell one kind so just ask for it. It needs to be the VW green stuff as above for that reason. If you are wanting to flush the steering rack get 2 bottles and put a whole bottle through the system. Don't take this as gospel but I think the black is feed and blue is return.
  21. LUK is original equipment and can be had at GSF nationwide at the moment for £94 as I rang them up yesterday.
  22. Right cheers nice little cheap item to add to my list, reminded myself to ring them back just now to chase them up and got told I should never have been given it in the first place as he was off, tut. Bloody hospitals, too many people running about like headless chickens. Got booked for 2nd May now. I'm also periodically buying up bits to try and spread the cost, can't imagine what the cost would be if I 1. bought everything at full price with dealer tax 2. paid a garage to do it all aswell (never gonna happen lol).
  23. Yea I was expecting £130 and when he said £87 I came round the desk and had a look to make sure it was all correct lol. Did you say that the clutch arm that holds the bearing is a nice cheap thing to replace along the way also? If yes do you have the part # and price? I don't actually know when I'm going to get to do this, everything is hinging on if I need surgery on my wrist or not and when that would take place at the moment, if so my next move will be one of those Clarke car covers and a SORN for a few months. I was supposed to be in a meeting with the surgeon this morning as it goes but
