  1. I really like the red roof but if someone said what about a red roof on a black cabby I'd be like yuk, but it looks really good.
  2. It's the hose coming from behind the throttle body, hang the breather from the tank just in the area that the canister was in.
  3. Ok then, I was given wrong information by someone who should, and I trusted that they did, know what they're talking about. What rating resistor should you use to stop an N80 error code? I tried a 33ohm (I think) and it didn't remove the error, after which I asked the "specialist" and he said it was inconsequential as long as your lambda works for cold start.
  4. As long as your lambda is working properly for cold start when you're up to temp it doesn't do that. I've been running with an N80 fault due to cannister removal for 3 years and no issue, my emissions are fresh air and it doesn't drink fuel.
  5. Fit braided hoses and you'll find your brakes upgraded without touching the discs
  6. The mk4 12v gasket is multi layer steel as opposed to fibre, it raises compression half a point but you have to make sure your head and block are super clean and even more super parallel or they won't make a good seal.
  7. When I was looking they all seem to fit the same but you want to make sure its amperage is enough, ideally you want like 120A
  8. The N80 I wouldn't bother worrying about, its expensive and doesn't cause any problems other than the fault code.
  9. Just updating my build thread to get a chance for feature car.
  10. Saw this and made me smile, nice homage anyway
  11. Are you just talking about the seats? Obviously the door cards etc will be totally different.
  12. Fairly easy but fairly costly, if you do it right and get genuine parts it will cost about £350 - £400 in parts, I did the full both chains, guides, tensioners and clutch and headgasket while everything was apart, with all this and new headbolts and any ancillaries required in total I spent about £600 from start to finish.
  13. I did, but it backed up the same corruption, to clients I recommend grandfather backups but tailors clothes, cobblers shoes as they say.
  14. What's happened with this, any updates?
  15. Ha, not this time I lost a load of films as it was my media drive
  16. I have a question is the VR splitter deeper at the lowest point than the facelift style splitter?
  17. The science of the alternator does not change with direction, but the cooling fins might be angled for the original direction. Not sure if they are directional or centrifugal.
  18. Personally I think that wheels that are nice and shiny look awesome against the nice dark blue, and that either mk4 style lights with blacked out interiors or hella quad style lights give the look you describe, not lairy but it looks looked after and something more special than a normal mk3. Also when going for an exhaust if you don't want it to be boomy, take it from me, don't get a scorpion system lol.
  19. Yea looks well good, would look good with the VR6 emblem too.
  20. Yea had a quick google around about it while wating for a hard drive to partition and everyone seems to be 8mm out

  22. Have you tried just a long socket on a breaker bar? Plus don't know why yours are 22, the standard size is 17.
