  1. I'll be in Portsmouth monday morning before travelling home from work if you need a hand. PM me if it's still like it then and you need some help. I do have the tools depending on fault.
  2. Where did you get your pistons from in the end?
  3. Bit expenssive to move to save on liscence renewal though. lol
  4. Can anyone let me know in more detail what will be under strain when lowered because i'm struggling to figure out what will be affected and how?
  5. Sounds good and pretty much what i'm after. May end up having to do build my own. Just really short on time. Storm do some nice stuff eh?
  6. No worries Buddy. You are more than welcome to have a look at mine when they arrive to see if you like before buying. If you need some help I can give you a hand to fit as well if you like.
  7. Also the early photo liscences are now up for renewal as they only last 10 years. You have to pay for the privilege of renewal as well.
  8. Give Venom a ring as they don't list everything. I've got 4mo specific AP's coming, but they have taken 3 weeks to arrive and still aren't due until Tuesday.
  9. Might have to strip and paint mine as I think they're a little bit too far gone.
  10. Love what you are doing with your car. Any specs or photo's of your exhaust system and where did you get it done?
  11. I've spoken to people now who have lowered by 80mm and more. The 4mo lends itself to being lowered easily because of no restrictions like anti roll bars. Bottoming sumps out is a problem really low and modified top mounts for camber if going really low. My AP's are due on Tuesday and i'll keep you posted on how I get on.
  12. The 4mo suspension setup is different and so I wouldn't risk it. Plenty of model specific stuff out there. Try Venom, they have a good selection.

    Mpg calculator

There is a good mileage calculator for the iphone which can store figures for a number of cars and tabulate the results. Good if you're into that sort of thing.
  14. I love the end comment about needing a Super Charger
  15. I enjoyed the whole scenario from collection to repair and look forward to Frank's improvement and power gains. Could only be Jake........ But we love it.
  16. When everything was stripped out, the pile of stuff didn't look like it would fit back in the car. Amazing.
  17. Just checked out you tube and that twin engined golf is awesome.
  18. Nice work mate. Do you think that exhaust manifold would work on a 4 mo and who bent your pipework for you? Fancy doing another in kit form?
  19. Getting my arse handed to me on a plate by a twin engined mk2 fiesta on the strip. Anyone thought about twin engineing a VR now the prices have come down? 5.6 ltr, 12 cylinder, 4 wheel drive monster.
  20. I enjoyed meeting up with everyone and especially the interior strip on Frank and the pit lane repairs. Also broke my Santa Pod cherry and got myself a starting point performance wise.
  21. Cars all fuelled up and ready for it's first run at the Pod. Looking to post a datum 1/4 mile time before the enging mods start over the winter. And of course team South have something new making it's debut. Any guesses as to what a standard 4mo will do up the strip? See you all there.
