  4. Revving to 8000 rpm ? , be interesting to see how long that lasts, rpm load cycling will destroy your rods before power does Why cant you run the injectors as low impendance?
  5. I think bodge summed it up pretty well. Its fine doing design work for cars but as soon as you start to do a lot of labor you then never work on your own car.
  6. Depends how seriously you want to get quick times at a drag strip ? I wouldnt get the softer 888s as a comprimise though as they would wear out too fast for my liking.
  7. Definatly worth getting a feedback steering wheel for this game , completely transforms it!
  8. A polo TDI with 200bhp and 350ftlbs keeps up with my VRT at half bar. Diesels are fast.
  9. As said before i think its the tyre choice. Ive only seen a handful of cars run true drag tyres and they are all very near or in the 10s/11s

  11. All you need is a spacer plate for 8.5 compression and you are easily safe for 400hp. Rotrex chargers are £1200 for a kit of just parts Second hand eaton M90 off a merc should support your power goals in the 300bhp range If you can find the space eaton m112 off a XKR is good for around 500bhp. Will be cheaper to wait for second hand kit but if your after a project go ahead with DIY,

  15. Dont understand why someone would go to all that effort and not even get past running it in. He needs some dyno sheets to prove this power!
  16. Are there standard stud patters from turbo housings? My current turbo uses 4 studs , was hoping could find another turbo which also uses the same stud pattern to save getting the downpipe modified.
  17. I like my 'screamer pipe' , I have an exhaust which is near a factory car level so is lovely and silent for 99% of the time, then boost kicks in and its a aggressive roar. Definatly not too loud.
  18. Cant believe your breaking this , you only just got it near being finished ! Sell a kidney. Maybe you can finally upgrade to a mk2 At least you can do a new project from scratch! Sure you will be back in a vw soon
  19. Only doing single day as thought no one was camping , will make this for at least single day , maybe sat/sun. Just need to rebuild turbo get mot and remap before this lol.
  20. Just have to take it a bit easier from launch , you got enough torque to pull up top anyway , you going to have a full bottle for action i hope!

  22. I was just saying when not taking money as the main priority. As for a 450hp mk2 being faster than a 450hp evo there must be a large power to weight difference to explain the extra speed of the mk2. The mk2 does not even have independant suspension. Definatly a worse weight distribution and the evo should easily be able to have a larger contact patch on the ground and maintain better geometry.
