    Thanks for the replies, I have been in conversation with Wilco at DB, I wanted someone who has tried one or more on the market for real world use ability. Do I need to spend 900 euro on one that has all the bells and whistles where a 500 euro one will do? cheers steve

    Hi all, I need to get a standalone controller for my 4 mo conversion. Who has one and what make is it? I want to control it inside the cabin. Crc performance do a good one but it's a bit lumpy, is there a standalone Ecu that can do haldex? Thanks for looking. Steve

    Usual service items plus Chains and guides, water pump. Did you see it running? If you can check the compression, I think it's the 6th cylinder that can wear. Valve stem oil guides.

    Nice Rocco. i have found that the epytec stuff is cheaper direct, the last stuff i bought from them took less than a week to arrive. Bar-Tek are reasonable as well. Besters on here does a short shift thats great, dont know if it will fit your scenario though. good luck with build. s

    hi, i think it needs full vag-com to recode the pump. so its either main dealer or someone on here that can help. i also found this for Teves coding - http://www.houseofthud.com/cartech/abspump/ABSProcedure.html and it looks like you need the details from the old one and a few posts have said that the P\N must match, i dont know how true that is though. good luck steve

    As before £1200. My gearbox builder may have it but if it goes before he makes his mind up..... also up on Vw vortex, club gti, corrado net, motorsport sales and gumtree. Currently removed from broken (diff) box and needs as diff, case and new home. Thanks for looking Steve

    Hi, it can be a real pain to get the mounting bolts out which may need a mechanic. You should be able to loosen the engine mounts and jack the drivers side of the engine up to get access to it.

    Hi, I have got a quaife 6 speed kit for 02a/j, it came from my old car where I fucked the diff. Spec is here https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-vag-6-speed-synchromesh-gearkit (this is exc VAT) its currently in bits at my gearbox builder (HotGolf) ready to fit into a new box but I am going 02m so it's surplus to requirements. i want £1200 for the bare kit, or I have an old 02a I can send to Martin and have it put in with standard diff and full rebuild - £1700 or if some one has a case and diff send it to him for build, POA. thanks for looking steve

    Hi All, currently getting this https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-vag-6-speed-synchromesh-gearkit rebuilt into a 02A box, i wont be using it in my new install so gauging interest, the box will have new seals and bearings etc so whats it worth? cheers steve

    i have noticed that without load the motors work ok but with the weight of glass added they stop. cant remember but do the switches light with use or just when side\main lights are on? what about jumping the block the switch connects too? good luck. s
