    Hi All, got my hands on a Cabrio wheel (mk3.5) anything I need to know for install or is it just plug and play? I don't fancy driving to halfords with a loose wheel, maybe be funny to pop it off in traffic though ;-)! Cheers Steve

    new stats after Schrick install hp Corrected Flywheel - 211.7 hp @ wheels - 173.3 Torque - 205.7@3704 pics are last run compared to Owners club run not a great deal of top end difference but low down torque is the nuts!

    hi, there are hundreds of threads regarding the ABS light issues. it seems that a lot of VW/Audi's from about '93-'04 have the same problem with the actual controller (sits on top of the pump) i had the same and got my controller remanufactured by BBA reman (google it) about 2 years ago and no more problems. if you use another unit i believe you need to have it coded to your car. good luck steve

    Hi all, am trying to fit my schrick. It came with the above and I am having nightmares in setting it up. Can someone help? I think it needs to be set as 2 cylinder as its a waste spark system? That gives me an idle of 2200, I can't figure out the settings for on and off! On goes to 1.5 (I guess that's 15k?) off goes to 15. ( again 15k) what do I need to set them as? Help Steve

    Hi, here is pic, on left is M8x30, middle is lower to upper and right is TB to to mani. It's the same width as TB to mani but only 20 mm. Cheers Steve

    ok, next question!. whats the size of bolt from lower to upper? they are too small to be M8, how can i tell what it is if i take one out? from upper to TB mount are M8 but shorter i will get some 25's if there is such thing. thanks again all. steve

    Hi All, just got my schrick mani and before install I was after opinions on whether to coat the bottom of the mani and the top of the rocker with some heat shield like this http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/heat-shielding-protection/cool-it-adhesive-backed-heat-barrier I have been looking at a phenolic spacer as well but can't find a good review of one anywhere, so for 20 odd quid is it worth it? Other possibility is a ceramic coat like zircotec, can't find a shop local and it's quite pricey (also I want to fit as soon as ;-) Thanks for looking Steve

    Hi, i had the dreaded ABS light on all the time, did all sensors etc and no joy. found these guys http://www.bba-reman.com/index.aspx sent it off 3 days later and all good (that was 3 years ago). no coding. If your swapping because of the light on issue you may well get the same problem as its a manufacturing defect. cost was about £140 good luck steve

    i was thinking of going metal http://www.42draftdesigns.com/categories/products/in_mk3vr6up.html they have issue with RHD cars apparently hits the strut tower i would have thought the silicon would need to be fairly good quality to resist deformation, does anyone know what the psi an N/A VR sucks at? good luck steve

    Hi just need conformation on the above. i am fitting a schrick soon and wanted to replace the schrick to lower manifold bolts i have been led to believe these are M8 X 30 mm. all help appreciated. cheers steve

    Hi Mate, German Ebay search for motolager. it was a street (60 shore?)     Hi all, been looking at this for a while to reduce inlet temps. The reviews I have read comment on poor longevity on the aftermarket ones and a fella on other forums was making them from 3mm ptfe has disappeared. Thoughts please on something like this http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/heat-shielding-protection/design-engineering-reflect-a-gold Sandwiched between 2 standard gaskets. Has anyone bought a good one? The above shouldn't be more than £25 and as I always bow to peer pressure shall I give it a go? Cheers Steve

    This is mine (sorry it's dark!) I had my mounts changed recently and only issue was the front mount (gsf) part had too long a thread and wasn't bolted down properly on the front so felt like the engine was coming through the bulk head, this was missed by a supposed mechanic and wasn't noticed until I changed the front insert to a poly one. Hope this is of use. Steve

    Got this in mine, still think its a little lazy sub 3500k. Adding a schrick in the next few weeks for a little more low down oomph. Had remap @ stealth, cams without tune 195, 203 tuned so it pays to map. Let us know which way you go and post some RR results. Steve
