  1. Thought they all had gaskets????
  2. While i was fitting the rear subframe, i put the prop in to mount that up. Getting it running right took a bit of time, but got there in the end! Had to raise the front of the engine so that the prop would run level. Gearbox with home-made bracket that clears the driveshaft.
  3. Yes all self built, but i'm not a mechanic by trade! Well not a car mechanic anyway Jus pm a time an i'l try and get up there, Like gavin says, if me misses lets me out!!!!!!!!
  4. Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? You might have slightly blocked it running out of fuel, worth a try seeing as though the're peanuts!

  7. Did you torque all the bolts down to there correct torque? Were your cams worn? Was the tapping there before?

  9. Is the noise def coming from your tappets, not your injectors?? And what oil are you running, as it maybe too thin?
  10. Yeah the expensive 1's are a bit complicated for my liking, and they have had a few problems with the reliability of them. Def post up a few bits about it when i get to it

  13. Oh and my fuel tank is going inside the car, between the rear boot panel and the cross brace i've fitted-i'l get to that fairly soon! ;-)
  14. Up to date i've been at it for over a year now, most evenings, weekends, just when ever i find time! For the diff control i'm going to keep it simple. A switch on the dash to simply turn the pump on and off, then some sort of valve that will control the flow of oil that gets pumped to the clutch plates, increasing or de-creasing drive to the rear.
  15. My daily wheels is a 51 plate astra van. 1.7 dt, white/dirty colour! ;-)
  16. Next stage, cutting a big hole in my boot! Took me a couple of minutes to come around to the thought, but got straight in there and cut out the spare wheel well. Temporary fitted the rear subframe and started fitting the cross-brace i made. I then started plating the space left between the brace and the original floor of the boot.
  17. Don't think its the sender as this would only show up with ignition on, thinking its possibly dash fault?

  19. I didn't buy the kit, i made my own. I looked on the dutch build site, and went from there. Easy enough to do if your handy with a welder and grinder!

    But whats the differance between the Garrett 60-1 and T67? The T67 is quicker spooling, and higher hp?
  21. Totally agree, if you drive past a wall either side of you the noise bounces back at you!! Yum Yum!! Sweet sound of 6 cylinder grunt!
