Hi, Bit of a tricky one to explain but I get a light thumping sort of noise from the engine whilst idling, the revs dont drop or rise and it doesnt cut out or anything and it only does it randomly i.e its not everytime i stop but it can sometimes be really noticeable other times not at all, a friend had this on a ford and nobody could work out what it was could anyone shed any light on this or is it not worth worrying about? would be up for that but not back from work till about half 7-8, were you planning on being there earlier than that?

Yeh gonna give that ago aswell, does anybody know how to tell the difference between a sump with a gasket or one that uses sealant? VW said it makes alot of difference?

running abit lumpy it takes a while to rev round (even with the lightened flywheel) and struggles to get past about 4k and just feels really underpowered, i was told to try the plugs first as it may be running on only 4 or 5 cyclinders if some of them are shot? p.s this was after a run out of petrol :$ Also both front shock absorbers and a wheel bearing lol its quite low at the moment so probably wont go any further, would like to get some proper shocks though as the handling is pretty shocking!!

Hi All, I've got a VR6 ibiza and for some reason the top of the dipstick has been cut off?! Im not sure if this is a bodge or meant to be like this as there really isn't very much room at the front between the engine and panel but has any one else had this and manged to work around it or use a replacement? Hi All, I've just bought a mk2 Seat Ibiza with a VR6 engine from an R reg golf in, It has been lowered but as you can imagine its not the most stable car on the road when I put my foot down! I'm new to these sorts of cars and I was wondering whats the best way of getting it to stick to the road a little better? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
