Yeah i know what you mean, its nice to have things straight away, but with the weather how it is, the last thing you want is to slide into a curb with ur new wheels on anyway.... i take my summer wheels off at the beginning of nov, and they wont go on til march.... im just running 15" audi pepperpots, i dont care what he looks like in the winter as long as i know come show time i can get my lovely mint, shiney, undamaged 17s out the garage, unwrap them n stick them back on!! Its like getting new wheels every year!! haha.

why dont you stick with the standard ones as they are for winter... save up, then get some nice new rims for the summer... :)

haha, no worries mate!! you could always run it with the black one for a while and if you still wanna paint it then do it, but you might like it how it comes... the ebay ones are more than good enough as long as you arent scraping everywhere... lol, then you may have to do what i do and have a winter one and a summer one... my winter one is cracked n scraped up, then ill put a new one on when show season comes.

I would think you can get some helpful guy to do that for under 100... i paid 25 for my pot of paint, then gave it to some spray shop who charged about 25 to paint my debadged grille.... But to be honest mate i wouldnt bother, cuz you will scrape it and catch it on things and no doubt just ruin the paint job, where as the black ones it goes more unnoticed... and i think they still look good... my sig pic is of my mystic blue vr with the black splitter i sent to you in the ebay link, from those exact people... i think it looks good! This was what VW were going to launch as the new rallye car i believe, but it never went into production... I personally dont like bodykits... i think VW make gorgeous cars, that with a few subtle changes can look even better. I dont think they need a whacking great body kit stuck on top... it never looks factory. However, i am sure there are some nice examples out there.... and am very open to being proved wrong, but it wont be something that i would ever be considering....

There you go, forgot to include those ones!! oops!! You can get the deep chin ones off ebay for about 25 delivered, i have one, which has been on 11 months and iv just about ruined it so will need replacing, they are fine if you dont scrape everywhere, but if you do then best to go with genuine VW ones, but i believe they are about 30 a side...

Yeah, it could be a burst pipe, but could also be the heater matrix, this is a pain of a job because you do have to take the dash out... but then if it is a burst pipe this could point to a head gasket problem as that can cause a build up of pressure which in turn would burst the pipe.... :(

I have 17s for summer and 15s for winter and i must say i prefer it on 15s... if i could get my summer wheels in 16s then i would, i think its the perfect size... but it is fine on 17s too... i think 18s is pushing it a bit though.
