  1. check that some of the weights havent fallen off.... also have you hit a kerb or pot hole recently? you may have a flat spot.... and did you give your wishbones a good pull about to check the bushes as they may not look worn but sometimes can be...
  2. i think if everyone agrees £7 each then it would work out just about ok but i need to speak to pete... hold on ill give him a shout.... PEEEEETE!!
  3. Steering wheel key ring!!! We could have the VR6OC logo on the middle....
  4. ive found somethin even better!!
  5. pete mate ill look into it... ill try and get some quotes for you as i think this would be a good idea... i think design 2 is the best as its simple. but sharp.... and £5 is a resonable price, anything less is being tight!! hahaha.
  6. usually everyone meets at a pub about half 6 or 7, grab some food, or hang about outside the pub, then about 8 or half past we head down to tollgate where there is a mcdonalds and we gather there, in the summer there was up to 60 odd cars, but at the mo theres prob only 30 - 40 i reckon, still a good turn out though and all really nice people... :)
  7. i would mate but im not insured to drive any car at the mo as ive just turned 25 so wont get it on my policy until next time i renew... gaaaaaaaaaay i know... lol. the next east coast meet is on the 21st december... ill prob be there along with another of my mates with a vr and he's 27 so can take urs for a ride... he may let you try his too if i ask him nicely. lol.
  8. the east coast dubs meet is every second monday in colchester so quite a trek (the last meet was yesterday)... there is a monthly meet in chelmsford but i dunno how many vrs go down there... there may be some one at east coast that would let you drive theirs... i dont let anyone drive mine as i am seriously protective of it and even though you may be trust worthy i cant do it.. but someone might...??
  9. ahh great new tony!! Well done mate!! :)
  10. you can be insured before you pass your test though... i was insured on my first car for a few months before i passed as i learnt to drive in it... so when i got my second year insurance i had only passed about 10 months but been insured for a full year... never got questioned.

  13. oooh the pics... they will be entertaining!! lol... i hope you got a good one of craigs 'dribble' lmao. Good night tho people and thanks to Jim & Lisa for the lift... Legends!!! :)
  14. ahhh man that is really bad... The really wrong thing about all this is that the driver will prob only get a year or 2 in prison... not quite a fitting punishment for the actions really Even though it was unintentional for him to kill your friend and hospitalise another, fact is he took the descision to make a risky move, and on his head be it... but to do it in a place where other peoples lifes are at risk is just unacceptable and people like him should be used as an example to all the other d**k heads out there that get away with making stupid manoeuvres like that.
  15. Sorry to hear this Sam, i hope your friend pulls through... a hard lesson learnt there for that driver...
  16. bloody hell... if i come i may well do that then too... lol.
  17. My flat will be about 2 hours from dover, so i dont mind having a couple of ppl sleep on my sofa (or the floor if you have a blow up bed) if it is worth while for you to do that... i may not be coming myself, but i dont mind putting some ppl up. :)
  18. To be honest a LOT of people i know have spent many nights in carparks at 17 doing handbrake turns, drifting on the snow etc.... and you can learn some stuff that way, but not really a lot to be honest... the best experience is road driving in different conditions and lots of it. I am 25, been driving well over 7 years and i drive every day, only missed about 10 days the whole time. I am a confident driver, as i think confidence is important, being unsure or hesitant can bring you down, however, i also realise that its not always about how i drive or how planned out my driving is... there is
  19. just out of curiousity james, how old are you and how long have you been driving?
  20. it seems a bit weird to me that your spare key will not open any of the 3 locks... surely even with an alarm the key overrides that?? Does the original spare key turn in the lock but not do anything? or does it not fully turn? The only other option would be to get a locksmith out... obviously they wont be able to pick the lock as the key itself doesnt work.... but they can use a tool called a lemon popper, which is ok, but if they do this just be very careful that they dont damage your car... you should be looking between £45 and £50 to get the door open, then if you need keys cut and reco
  21. ahh mate, that is great news... keep us all updated...
  22. oh and click the 'vag com' to get to the list of people who have it... you can pm jim from there...
  23. your best bet is to get it hooked up to vag com, jim potter is in colchester and can do it if he can fit it around his work... give him a pm and once you've had it on there all will become clear! lol.
  24. so does your spare key not unlock the doors still?? the immobiliser can be removed but your spare key should still open the lock....???
