I did read today that due to the Government being propulsion less up effluent valley and in light of the great UK fire sale that the pound may well end up < 1E !! nothing like missing the boat . they should have gone euro when it was nearly 2-1

Apparently GSF racks arnt good because they are refurbed and dont last that long Not had experience myself but i am getting a rack elsewhere just to be on the safe side

rear bushes are not actually prone to go we are talking VW not Ford LOL if original will pobably need replacing easier to fit poly bushes tnah standard ones IMO -
i think its easier to take the whole lot out together then seperate gearbox from engine . Alot easier if you dont have aircon just take the front off the car disconnect gear linkage cables and wiring harness and stering rack then drop the subframe with engine and box still attached to it

S2 are 5 cylinders and not 500bhp standard

Nowhere near what it was dynod at the rr day 12/09 it may be because its an auto 197bhp 129.9@wheels

i lost a 3rd of my horse power through transmission loss so i would say somewhere near 280-300bhp

it would make a tiny bit of a difference but no where near the same as a cone filter tbh you pobably wouldnt notice from inside the car

rear doors only on the inside of the door right next to the lock open the door where the catch is there is a moon shape cut out with a lever just move it down or up to activate then check to see if it works

Pic one part is about £35 ish normally on EBay from FIRCOF easy to swap yourself rocker cover easy as well not easy to get these wrong so deffo worth trying yourself sump gasket slightly harder but only because its at the bottom i think new sumps are not available from VW any more so probably ebay on that as well -
If you want 288mm discs you need to change the flxi hoses as well as the 288's are banjo fit to the calipers
