  1. I've got a 4motion lump in my Corrado and it made pretty much the exact same power and curve as yours on a recent rolling road day at Stealth. New MAF bought it back to life.
  2. That's pretty horrid!
  3. I reckon that's because the 24v injectors are a lot bigger than the 12v items and the 12v ecu is fueling based on the air it is seeing. I'd say you are running a very rich mixture there!
  4. It may not be a good idea to have members locate themselves by actual house or Street location. Not all users of this forum will be honest and if they happened to find out where a particular car was kept or if there were some nice parts for sale somewhere, the temptation might be too much to resist. Maybe there should be a warning or pop up before adding location to alert members who might not have thought of that. Otherwise add your location by the first half of your postcode or by the town centre of the town you are in just to add a bit of vagueness as to where you actually keep your pride
  5. I'd agree that the bell housings are different. The bottom of a 4 pot engine is narrower than the bottom of a 6 pot.
  6. It's the carriers which are worth the money, the calipers are the same between 288 and 312 and are 10 a penny. You just need the carriers, discs and spacers. You can sometimes find the carriers for a good price but they're normally about 80 quid on the forums and 100 quid and over on ebay. Purple Tom on the Corrado forum has a few sets if needed. If you find all the parts individually and are upgrading from 280s then it'll be around 300 quid once you factor in new lines, discs and pads with the longer bolts, spacers and carriers. If you already have 288 brakes you'll probably be able to do tha
  7. Do you have a code reader? Sounds wiring related to me if the good MAF still won't work.
  8. Ah those are good cars! I used to have a s2 111s Elise before I came back to corrado ownership.
  9. I'm up for it. Shall this be extended across to the Corrado lot? There are always plenty of people on there keen for a meet and it's a nice central location!
  10. Nice one. It's a good car, glad it's gone to an enthusiastic owner. Not sure why the person who bought it from him moved it on so fast, maybe an old VW wasn't his bag.
  11. Try this link. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=54525
  12. I'm sure that was sold a few months back, there is a big thread on the Corrado Forum. Lovely car.
  13. The engine speed sensor will always come up. It's a quirck of the ecu. If you scan it with the engine off, it will throw a fault code to say the engine speed sensor isn't registering any engine speed. It won't be because the engine is turned off. It will self clear when the engine next starts. You only have problems if you have an engine speed sensor fault with the engine running. More often than not a crank sensor won't flag a code if it's a intermittent fault that switches the engine off.
  14. My 24v did this. Pretty much exact symptoms. New crank sensor cured it.
  15. Well it arrived today, all boxed up fresh and shiny. I won't be able to get it fitted this weekend as planned though due to a family health problem that has come out of nowhere! Shame really but I'll keep you all in the loop as to how it fits and sounds!
  16. The whole phrase, if you ain't rubbin, you ain't dubbin generally annoys me! Cars are primarily to get you from A to B and not leave A and get stuck on a slightly high man hole cover at the bottom of the driveway!
  17. It is 3" Dave, to bolt up to the stock cat.
  18. Fantastic! I just saw this on my Facebook feed and it looks to be another quality bit of kit from UM!
