  1. Just as an update to this thread. I ordered a downpipe from United Motorsport on the 6th. Just waiting on delivery... I'll keep everyone updated as things go along.
  2. Loads and loads of people have. Stick it in Google and there will be loads of guides! Very common mod on Corrados as well!
  3. OK either way... I'll email you directly.
  4. Thanks guys. The website contact you form must be working incorrectly?
  5. I'm trying to decide what my exhaust options are, I've got a 2.8 24v in my Corrado and the final step involved in the transplant is the exhaust. What are people's experience of different exhausts? I'm tempted to go for the dubpower 6 branch and their new oem catback system once they've sorted out their pre production stuff. I've also thought of trying the United Motorsport 2 branch downpipe replacement, but I don't know what the quality is like or key, how much they cost. I've sent them an email, but they haven't answered after a few days. I would call them, but I've not had the chance. Any s
  6. Good news! I need an exhaust to finish my project off mechanically!
  7. Looks good, I did this on my C last year. there is no real need to cut into the ECU apart from fitting 1 pin to tell the ECU that the A/C is turned on.
  8. 02A gearbox bolts straight on as does the starter motor along with all the mounts. The holes for the rear mount are on the 24v block already, they will just need cleaning out with a tap. You can also keep the 12v thermostat housing and the rest of the pipe work. You literally just swap the block over and wire it up. There is tonnes of info on the Corrado forum. The Corrado and Mk3 both use the same (for all intents and purposes as far as bolting the engine in) subframes, wishbones, gearbox etc. Only major difference is the front cross member. The mounting points are the same on the cross mem
  9. Looks great as it is! Nothing more required!
  10. If it's been stoop that long, I'd suggest rings or pitting of the bore. You're probably best taking the spark plugs out and boroscope it or if you don't have the tools, head off and look at the pistons and bores. If it has gone, new engine is cheapest or bore out to 3.0 litres!
  11. Ooohhhh Ouch! Truth hurts :-P Give me a shout if you want a hand with your other vr6?
  12. Do a search for 02j conversion on Google, there are a few threads on it. You need to mod the shifter box for polo parts. The shifter tower bolts straight in.
  13. The complete 02j linkage from a mk4 replaces the 02a linkage in mk3's. Only difference is that you need to splice in the 02j reverse light loom. Not a big job. Plenty more modding options for the 02j setup as well.
  14. I always wondered what it looked like under all that dust!

    GTA V

Utterly amazing! Last version I played was gta 1 so I guess I'm easily impressed!
  16. Hi All, i'm in the process of fitting a 24v into a mk2, i'm just collecting parts atm! Is there is anyone on here who has done this?
  17. Another one here, I browse here a fair bit but spend most of the forum time on the Corrado forum it does have to be said!!
