  2. Bit of a wierd one... A few weeks ago my ABS light came on after a drive to halifax and back. nothing spirited just a 65-70 chilled motorway drive... I was planning to get it checked at my next visit to my local garage, but it then turned itself off... now i thought maybe an intermittent sensor problem... but in my disbelief that it had gone off, i tapped the little panel where the airbag light and abs lights are and it came back on! At first i though it was a coincidence but its gone off each day for 3 days now and it only comes on if i tap the dashboard! Is it possible there is some faulty c

The Barber One day a florist goes to a barber for a haircut. After the cut he asked for the cost and the barber replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber goes to open his shop the next morning there is a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The cop is happy and leaves the shop. The next morn
  4. LOL well played chaps... and LOL at the MP, in fact i got sent an MP joke too, i'll post it up!
  5. Got sent this by a workmate last night: Three men go into a hotel and pay for a room. the clerk informs them that a room is £30. each of the three men pay £10 and go to their room. A while later they return, and the clerk apologises, saying he was incorrect and the actual price of the room is £25. As he can not split the remaining £5 equally, he gives the three men £1 each and pockets the £2 himself. This means that each man paid £9, equalling £27. Plus the £2 the clerk kept, which is £29.... where is the missing £1???
  6. LOL its called a widow maker for its reputation for falling out from under the car, ie your underneath workin on the car, jack slips, car comes down... its made a widow of your mrs... etc LOL i usually carry the widowmaker everywhere (fits inside the spare wheel anyway) and more often than not i keep a jack, spanners/sockets etc in the boot all the time... just for peace of mind....
  7. I've always had to put a widowmaker under the sill first and jack it up a bit before rolling the trolley jack under... other than that just keep a can of tyre weld with you. most new cars are being fitted with this stuff instead of a spare wheel.
  8. off the top of my head irs the ones along the top of the wing (under your bonnet), and im pretty sure there is one/two at the bottom of the wheel arch, closest to the front door.... someone else may be able to confirm it though.....
  9. dude, looks gorgeous in those pics. new wheels really finish it off nicely....

  12. Its definately one of the best things i've bought for the car. totally transforms the feel of the car once you get to a few nice bends.
  13. YAY first mod of 2009! got this home today, So i've put it straight on. By the way if anyone knows any decent bodyshops around manchester, get in touch
  14. chains etc depending on condition... may as well do while the box is off...
  15. currently in the process of lumping as much commission together as possible and booking the car in for a full spray. It wont be for a good 3-6months yet but i'm planning on taking a trip to panelcare in rochdale for a qoute.. Main reasons being that they are local, have done a few show cars, paintwork looks decent enough for me, and they provide a free courtesy car while your car is with them. Just curious if anyone else here has used them / heard anything of them???
