  1. I saw this Friday night, looking good mate.
  2. I'd say it's more than one tooth out, if it's just the one tooth car wouldn't miss fire as such nor sound like Jap, So you've checked plugs and coil pack, have you actually looked at the HT leads at all? Just double check them as we'll, as I had one that was arching, number 6, caused same problem.
  3. As Gilly said, run it down by inner wing, go all the way down the wing, best place, don't smell no oil fumes a, only downside few drops oil here and there. But that's a minor!!!
  4. Disconnect maf, start car and see if you have same hesitation.
  5. 10psi is the so called 'Stage3' and as Lukey says - multi layered metal head gasket which you then split and sandwich.
  6. No missfire, Just low spark to fire it up. I had a case where a plug had oil sweeping inn hence why I asked to check plugs mate. Had the same scenario, when cold will fire up on one shot.. When warm was a bit hesitant.
  7. Was the Oil Sensors/Switches you replaced genuine?
  8. Whilst unplugging the CTS it should have made a difference. Please check the state of your Plugs too.
  9. If it was the switch it wouldnt crank... Your car is hesitating to fire up right when warm? If problems consisting after the car was warm, have a look at your plugs.
  10. Check the Dipstick as well. This maybe a case of early signs, so nothing may actually show on Dipstick.. Just keep an eye on things, as Lukey said maybe cooler.
  11. I use to find that quite a bit on my Mk2 16valvers that I had..
  12. Induction. 6 Branch. Nice Zorst System and Decat!!!
  13. I use to have this layer on cold mornings.. Condensation. But coolant was pink and dipstick was normal. If your having signs in the coolant tank, Id keep an eye on it. May just be H/G. Have you ever done a Coolant flush and replaced??
  14. P.S. Have you a Coil Pack or Dizzy?
  15. From what I remember I think the earlier VR6 engines were running 4bar regulators. Before changing the CTS, maybe unplug when warm and start, see if its still the same hesitation in starting.
  16. Id use a Gasket mate. Always had done when I had my VR. Never used that sealent stuff! As its obtainable, get it and use it bud!!
  17. Go for the MAF and Temp sensor b4 changing the Lambda.. Last resort. Disconnect and see how it runs, wheteher the actions are still the same or not.
  18. Forgot to add, Disconnect your Air Flow Meter, Start and see what happens? Run it and see if you have the same effect on halt then engine 'Cutting Out'.
  19. Change your Coolant Temp Sensor. Take it from there and see what happens..!
  20. Take the plugs out mate.. Give them a clean up. Or replace. If problem still consists, look at your HT Leads.
  21. Please be a bit more explanitory so we can try and work the problem for you mate. Are you actually saying that the Engine temp is overheating and that when you put the heating switch on the temp drops down?
  22. Just run a pipe from rocker with a small filter at the end of it down side of wing. Vent to atmostphere. Job done.
