    Mate... Check your oil.. What oil are you using and when did you last do an Oil Change...??? Thats the first thing I'd do as the oil might be a tad to thin!

    Had a mate drop some BBS Rm's over.. Original 4x100 2 piece beautys... But the Rims wouldnt split after unbolting them!! Damn!! Had to polish while still together!! Have a look.. Not all 4 are done, just 2 of them. Before and after effect..! Before.. After... Wish I had these for my MK1 Project, as this guy bought these for.........     Mate, at the mo, Im in the same position as you, I need to replace my Sensor to as its Fc***d.. Went to Euro initially yesterday mornin, but they were a bunch of twats and did not know which sensor was for mine, I then had to call up my m8's @ TPS, they then told me the Part numbers, told staff at ECP- "Not in Stock sir".. So i thought, as everything else is all genuine on me motor, id just get the original part rather than pissin about.. Only £30 xtra. TBH the original stuff from the dealers are far more better than Euro's..

    This might not sound good but trust us it works so well.. Wash windows and dry (light soapy water) and a cloth... then get your old newspaper out and you will be amazed.. Its the Ol'skool way!!! My Pops taught me years back from when he had his Beetles!!!

    So its not flat spots as such.. Ive had this problem come across another VR before. Initially VAGCom'd it first... It turned out to be the Throttle needed cleaning.. Now the owner of the Car is Happy as Larry!

    Dude, Temp sensor would give the Car Major Flat Spots whilst driving.. Loss off Power!!!

    If you were down these ways, I would have got it VAGCom'd for you for £35... Best get VagCom'd mate! Or you may end up spending more where its not needed.

    As from what you are saying, sounds like the Temp Sensor dude.. If the Air leak was still there, It'd run lumpy from initial start!

    Can be anything from AFM to Coolant Temp Sensor.. The car isnt missing is it..ie missfiring ..??

    £14 from VW... Thats for the Cooloant Sensor, 2 pin switch..
