    No point starting a new thread seeing as this one is on here. What is the answer to Gavins question, anyone know? I've got my mk4 calipers (not sure if they are 1.8T ones or not but been told all the same) and also got told that the pads are just the same from mk2 - mk4?

    Best thing to do is take it off and get the part number. I cant mind on if its pressure sensor or temp sensor so if you get the part number off it and give VW a ring they should be able to find out for u. Or even someone on here with ETKA.

    Lol i'm still not entirely sure what i need to jack out the doner car yet otherwise i would crack on getting something sorted! Would need to have the loom etc back in my hands from whomever i send it to before you guys came up so that we could crack on the weekend and have it running before you left!

    Yer Kev thats what i'm thinking. Drop the lump in myself with help from whoever i can get help from then send all the electrical gubbins, or as u say full car and gubbins, to ppl that know what they are doing. Last time i looked at a wiring diagram i thought i was looking at a Magic Eye puzzle!!

    It was just the fact that if anything went wrong i could take the car back to them. Also they said that price would incl. setting up the car on the rollers and sort the gearing so i didn't just get a load of wheelspin in first and second due to the remap that was included. Didn't mind paying that for the sake of peace of mind and better overall performance!
