  2. hello sorry to interupt on this thread but how far is it from the uk to the ring? im from south-africa and me and my friend will be there during the time of this event and was wondering if we could tag along? i pressume we must be paid up members?
  3. as Phat VR6 said uprate the clutch, but believe you me you can put all the money you spend on filling NOS in a piggy bank and buy a stage 1 supercharger/turbo kit that would last forever and its a once off payment, thats the reason i took off my nos as its a never ending money pit in the end just my 2c

  6. for every 1.3hp nos you put on you gain about 2,5NM and that is the biggest problem on the drivetrain
  7. hey, i had a 12v vr6 with a 140hp wet shot nos on the motor is still going good no smoke or anything been running nos for about 5000km and then took it off, the gearbox and the clutch doesn't hold up very well with nos but that was because i went with such a big shot. 60-70hp will be good on the motor but as i said its the drivetrain you sould worry about

  10. I came to that conclusion aswell you pay £800 for pistons and in the states you pay $800 for the same pistons, something thats always interested is a vr6 with itb's anyone on the forum got experience with it?
  11. Thanx guys for the info, ive decided ill go with the rotrex charger, so you suggest to go to 2.9l? How much will forged rods and pistons set me back in the uk? Really appreciate the info think i found my new home truely awesome forum this

  13. don't want to go the turbo route as i need power through the rev range want to do a bit of track racing, turbo doesn't work all to well round corners with the boost
  14. hello guys my first post on the forum, im from south-africa, but moving to the uk next year. ill be returning to SA and then i want to supercharge my vr6. What supercharge would you guys suggest? i red allot about the vortech chargers but looks like they not going to meet my power figures im looking for, as im anyways going to rebuild the engine with forged internals and ill be running standalone mangement aswell, but i don't know if the rotrex is the better option or if the vortech is?vortech seems to be giving problems running at high boost. what else should i look out for when building suc
