    E38 2010

I was just about to pop on line and have a brows when i pressed enter to early. and I got the home page.. Changes are a foot following the issue they have had... have a read.. http://www.edition38.com/
  2. not meaning to teach you to suck eggs here... Do the basics mate... you have connected everything to the correct place and they are all connected correctly and firmly. did you set the plug gap and yes you can over tighten..after that......Mmmmm this steam???? Where exactly is it??? and is white smoke or just vapour??? Does it go when the engine is hot??
  3. bravo and not jelous at all.... always liked oakies...
  4. this is not a reason to do this... but if the car is breathing right, mapped right and you drive it right then these things all help.. So induction kit and a QUALITY exhaust will help. If you are all motorways then a slightly larger bore helps. If you are all just around town then look at the number of boxes.. call longlife or the like and have a chat. It is not as expensive as you think......Plus you have the best sounding van.... The remap will help ensuring it is set up correctly etc... but dont forget the simple things like good fluids/sparkz/tyre pressures/ etc etc etc all go a long w
  5. Loving the light display... I wopuld have been watching that and not where I was going.... LOL.. Are the Chaps taking vids for you on the RR session???
  6. only to cover the basics really. It's easy to miss the last thing you look at that fixes it.... Well if you have changed all the HT stuff, are you sure they all work? New doesnt always mean that.... Do one item at a time in sequence old for new and see if that helps.. The best way to see what is happening to the spark is to pop the plug out and hold it against the block (with something non conductive) you should see strong blue sparkzzz. Do this one at a time. If you are unsure what this looks like pop one off a car you know is working and check it out... then go back to your sick car
  7. I did.... but you'll have to wait a bit...
  8. us on vista??? Dont have the run aspect...
  9. folks don't mean to preach here... It is good to have a minimal amount for your credit rating. The ability to make regular payments to your credit card is part of your credit worthyness... So get a card and keep £20-£50 pounds on it. Then pay minimum monthlys.... then clear anything you do buy month by month save, of course, the minimum amount you decide upon. For those who are looking to get mortgages etc then you need to show a history of being able to do this kind of payment... Depending upon who you go through and how much you want for such services then your last 5 years are usual
  10. well 'twas a good aday... I took pics but you'llhave to wait for them... Good so see old and new faces.. oh and PHM rallye is schweeetttt
  11. I'll see if I can get there a little early... Got to drop she off first.... I figure 10 for 1030 for me... TTFN
  12. where you doing ya oil? I gotta do mine... it's in the boot...
  13. Well I have got a day pass from the missus so once I drop here off I'm gonna go I rekon. I have not been before so, as it's only an hour away, might as well give it a go and only a tenner... I was going to leave my part of the world sometime after 10 I think. May try and pop along with Sparkz etc... as I think they are on a similar timeframe.... Get there in time for a brunch/Lunch bacon roll and and a coffee. Weather didnt look to scary when I checked, and as I missed ED38 I can take lots of pikkys...
  14. Nope you are all wrong it's the Dark side of the Force...
  15. I popped a PM over to you. I hope it helps Good luck and keep the faith...
  16. come on some one must have the outsfits for us all....
  17. when you say rattle do you mean a kind of metal slap or a kind of something catching, or marbles in a can??? Just trying to understand weather you have a timing issue or something more mechanical. The sound and its physical location will help us. If you are unsure of the location. Then use a screwdriver on the block and see what you can hear with your ear pressed up against it.. (the screwdriver) ..... you will hear lots of sounds so focus on the one out of place... Remember to take your shirt tie off first... goos luck and let us know how it goes..
  18. National Service.... Thats what I say.... them and their pikey parents... God Dammnnnn it....
  19. I dont recall a guide... and it been a while since i even looked in that area.... however,,, Assuming its a standard one you have and you are talking about the silver mushroom affair - you have two options. Whip all the front off the car... including the radiator.... Or Get it up in the air and attack it from below. You will notice there is not a lot of room. No matter what you do. there is a plastic tube that runs across the front of the engine that all the pipes all connect in to. Dont look at it or talk to it with the wrong tone. It will insist on breaking so stay away... hopefully
  20. I could just see you with your set square lining the wheels up...
  21. I have recently popped on a few other sites for other manufacturers of cars and noticed somethiing... Now we may have done this but either its not obvious or I'm daft... What am I talking about well the specs on the car, the history, the recalls, information on the standard gears/gearbox etc etc etc etc.. the reason I thought of this is that as the car is steadily making its way into the realms of history there is not an easy spot for those who are mising out to understand the car, our love and why it is unique etc etc etc I have this information in my head. but there is loads more missing..
