  1. just like the corsa ad...c'mon c'mon c'mon!!! i feel weak for enjoying something that involves a corsa. shame.
  2. Mine does this at the mo, your mid pipe has a heatshield wrap, check it hasn't popped open and unwrapped like mine. It won't fall off but needs fixing. Saying that, I aint fixed mine yet, shit it over speedbumps.
  3. Does it sound weird and pop as though it is at the front right but in the exhaust at the same time? Especially when you accelerate from stand still? mine did that when my tb and maf plug were fuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. If your maf plug and wires are all taped up undo the lot and check the wiring, mine were done by a blind kid with no electrical nonce. Re-solder, re-tape and away you go.
  4. Yup, sounds sweet to me. Oh, Pete, I don't need your mani now, unless you wanna sell it to me for keeps :-p
  5. Sweet!! You wanna bring your inlet mani with you for me to abuse? lets get a list of potential attendees going on: me gilly (more than likely) pete riggs any of the original postees fancy it?
  6. That's what I thought but...its a musical masterpiece...I got the 'awesome I f'kin shot that' dvd for my birthday last week, its uber cool! Anyhow, bboys aside, the Bolton meet, I'm thinking next Sunday 12:30 at the pub next to the holiday Inn, the harvester I think its called. not a bad pu with decent food and benches outside and all that, should be pefect for a meet if it aint too busy. Plus, any chicks that are bored with throttle body talk can go and shop across the road. Sound like a plan?? Oh, I aint taking responsibilty for being the 'organiser' as I'm crap so we should all just hail a
  7. jimmyjames???? wtf???? I'm havin a look this sunday so will post up my recon mission file sunday night. I'm thinking BWFC car park will be best, as long as we can actually get on, there's always the pub next to Holiday Inn, wuite good food and that. cars, beers, food. AWESOME!!
  8. I'll third that, under a tunnel, 2nd gear, awwwwwwwwwesome sound, like a really angry german dog. Also, i don't think the sucking power is really gonna be string enough to actively suck enough water up the pipe, through the filter, up the other pipe and into the engine. Leave the pipe, keep the noise and enjoy!!
  9. Aaah, so you were the dude with the very nice and clean engine bay (jealous!!!!), yours was the first of 2 Bonrath pipes I saw that day which now leads me to believe I really NEED one on mine. Good to talk to you chief, hopefully see you at the Reebok at the end of the month if it all pans out.
  10. I'll have a ride up to Reebok next sunday to check out where we can all meet up without too much grief, the car park for the ground is usually empty, sometimes a few r/c guys are there with their kids but plenty room for a few vr beasts. last Sunday in October?? 11:30-12:00?
  11. Anyone up for dirty, wet, wintery vr meet then soon? Before the end of October? i reckon Sundays are the best days, hopefully not too many Sunday shoppers, I'll scope out a decent spot for parking without being pestered. What times are best for everyone?
  12. You have your FKs set rock hard so as to minimise movement in the arches? My konis are set quite soft but I'm thinking I'll need to toughen them up a bit when I strap 17s on.
  13. Went to this (and the Leeds meet....hardcore dubbin!!) but was hard to gauge as it was moved on twice, which all of us did in good spirits, no point in upsetting the biz. It seemed like a pretty good get togther with soe decent guys that we spoke to and a real good spread of dubs. Look forward to the next one (should have actually washed my car by then AND have some nice big rims strapped on).
  14. This should be good, nearest vr meet me and my boy gill go to is Leeds, awesome meet with some seriously sound guys but we'd like to go to more. Reebok at Horwich (junction6 m61) is a good central spot I reckon. Sunday afternoons. Lets get one going!!!!
  15. I was gonna post up about these after our little chat at last meet Pete. What I wanna know is whether or not there are heat soak issues with the pipe being metal and from what i know the inner doesn't have any kind of heat repelling lining. They look cool as f'k though which is good enough reason to get one imo.
  16. Now I'm worrying. Sorry to hijack but I got some 17x7.7s with a 51 offset ( with 20mm adaptors on), looking to strap 205/40/17s on and I'm lowered on konis (non adjustable). We looking at rub or will i get away with it? i aint sure what the koni kit lowers by, don't think it's as much as 40mm. Hmmmmm. Adds, if you want 16s look in the for sale section at mt TT 5 spokes, £200 (no tyres).
  17. Ave it!! How about these (taken in my cellar so a bit cack).
  18. send me your mail address dude and I'll mail you the pics directo mundo
  19. Here we go chief a few pics of the TTs I have for sale. I took one of each wheel, one to try and show up the minor scuffs on one of the wheels and a couple to show the width and how badass they look. If you're interested dude pop me a pm. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi1.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi2.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi3.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi4.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi5.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/audi6.jpg http://i51.photobuc
  20. Offset is definitely the key here, i think our beloved beasts like around a 32-40 or so offset so if you look to knocking 25 off that with your spacers you can work it out. Ie. I got some monzas which are 7.5jx17 with a 51 offset, to run these I need adaptors which are 20mm so my offset will then be 31 which should be fine on 205/40/17 rubber...make sense? Mind you, if your car is slammed then none of it really matters as bigger wheels will f'k you up.
  21. I got pics indeed my good man, I'll post em up when i get home later tonight. I haven't got the centres yet, they should come this weekend.
  22. Wheel debates, love em!! I laways find that dudes loving the rs4s don't like 5 spokes, and vice versa. I love 5 spoke rims but think rs4s look too much, they look cool don't get me wrong but not my cup of tea. I got a set of audi tt 5 spokes (not comps) that I need to sell, in real good condition, just waiting for replacement centre caps. I'm looking for £200 for em, no tyres, 16x7j. Real clean looking style.
  23. cheers guys, took some deliberating as wasn't sure if they'd look a bit cack or not, the grey makes em look uber cool. 7.5j too so should look real tough. Get yourself a beat set for not too much cash, super easy to refub because of the size and open spaces. Watch this space, tyres comin soon...and adaptors...now where did I leave that big bag of money I didn't have?
  24. I'm bored but excited coz I picked up my painted rims today so thought it only right to stick a pic up of them, well, one anyway. When I bought these they were a bit scuffed and kerbed so yesterday went to the body shop and got em sorted and painted. No scuffs, no filler needed and painted up a nice graphite/silver (pic doesn't do the colour justice, looks real cool). All I need now is some 205/40/17 rubber and a set of 112 hub adaptors and we're good to go!! Not normally my kind of rim but they should look real badass on the vr...I hope. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/al75crx/rims.jpg
  25. Sounds like a plan dude, I get yours, polish it, replace it with mine and give you mine. Sweet!! I'll call you and we'll hook up, or at next meet if there is one in pipeline.
