Oh I want pictures tonight nobody's posting pictures!!
  2. Doing some digging lads, anyone have any reports or opinions on V Maxx coils? There's a good friend of mine looking to by a mk5 diesel over the weekend which has these fitted. Lovely looking car but he's unsure if the overall quality of these coilovers and also how well they ride??
  3. Hmmm can't be that then. Def sounds like a vac leak somewhere but where I wonder??
  4. Unplug the MAF and see if it's any worse. If it's no different then in afraid the MAFs dead
  5. I've got one on mine mate, along with a CDA, never had an issue. The only issue I did have was the rubber slipping off the throttle body end of the intake pipe. Sound like you may have an air leak after the MAF and it's trying to compensate for unmetered air flow.
  6. I love how we've all become Vikings just because we all like fish with tits lol!
  7. He he, I could sit under those arches and read the paper
  8. Do it!! I was threatened with divorce if I bought one, but it was a gamble I was more then prepared to take Shame she didn't go through with it when I turned up with a nice white 6R
  9. Mate I did this with my VR, I tried a few things then I read on another forum, to google the reg in inverted commas. For example "H843 YEC". It worked for me, I'd bought the car back within a week.
  10. Thanks for moving this mods, let's see where it goes from here
  11. I think maybe I should of started this thread in either members rides or the hangout. It's a bit quiet here
  12. As the title really, have we got an old thread lurking around or shall we have a new one? Show us your wheels, with a brief spec Offset Tyre size Wheel width Spacers?? Arch work?? TT comps, 195/40/17, rear arches rolled, ET30 (I think) and 20mm spacers out back

    Car covers?

I've got a really good waterproof breathable medium cover from halfords mate. Really pleased with it, and a really good fit. Don't know on price, Father Christmas brought it down my chimney
  14. I've had a look at Ross tech website but the info on it is very limited. It seems basically like an interface which uses wifi, however it doesn't go into details of whether you need to already have the VCDS obd cable and software, or if it's a full package. Also I can't make out whether it needs a wifi internet connection to work. In quite frankly shite with computer terminology and how they work so I might just be safer with the traditional hard wired package.
  15. So are we saying that the ipad compatible VCDS is likely to have a lead from the obd socket to a wireless receiver box of sorts that the ipad can talk too? Our commercial texa is very similar, touch screen computer can be on the back of the tractor unit, whilst the box and cabling is in the cab. I'll have a browse at the gendan website later to try and gain a better understanding of what's available and what's up and coming.
  16. Is that something that a regular VCDS from Rostech/gendan can be updated too or is better for me to hold off and wait Pete?
  17. I fitted a bonrath to mine a few years ago and it is tight, but doesn't cause any issues. If you use silicone there's self sealing take off pipes you can get that screw directly the through the silicone for the breather. Have at demon tweeks website.
  18. That looks really well, love them in that colour. The mulberry highlines not too bad either!
  19. Cheers james I'll have a read while she's got the soaps on
  20. As the title says really, those if you with your own software, how easy is it to use? I'm no stranger to diag, I'm a HGV tech so naturally my diag work is slightly different to cars, eg. control units etc differ somewhat to cars. Looking into getting my own setup so any advice is welcomed
  21. Gutted I missed it, looks like a good turn out. Now I'm left wondering wether to refit plastic arch trims or not.....
  22. Is the yellow laminx still available? I'm sure it says on their website that it's discontinued... As CALICO says they can make some silly money for genuine yellow Hellas
  23. No probs mate, that's the beauty of forums, we're all here to help each other if we can. If your sticking with speedlines, just try to fathom where they are rubbing. They were corrado speedlines I had as winter wheels and in know they were fine on 205s. Can't see them being a different offset.
