  2. Its just heatsoke mate. It gets better when u dont have to stand still and dont get any cooling air. And you should bypass your inteke manifold water lines so you dont heat it up even more. . . . .   6. Get a heat shield. . . . . .. Neuspeed.com or many other. I have the same problem and gonna try to fix it with a shiel, but i have turbo so the IC piping will have to be rerouted first.

Just make a list dude: Timing chains Headgasket Arp´s Big ass clutch ACT or something C2 turbokit or another one. motor/gearboxmounts LSD diff 3" exhaust Oilcooler (gerbox rebuild) If u have the $. Downhill skiingsuit. (less drag) Then boost 14 psi and you should get just over 400 reliable bhp.

  13. With the original intake, when i drive its ok, but if i stop the heat from the engine heats up the manifold and its noticiable less responsive and feels weaker. then when Ive driven some it cools down and is ok again . . . Will get heat shield for the airfilter soon aswell. . . .

  16. Wouldnt the heatsoke from the exaustpart of the turbo be more signifficant than the vortech? I would go intecooled aswell, of a hoodscoop or something to keep the temp down. I have a small heatproblem with mine and thats even with IC.
  17. Personally I would not have bothered on doing TO much whith the engine. I would have gone tor the headgasket, arp bolts, and SQS gearbox with diff. And a new clutch. And the morormounts. Timingchains should allways be done. Then I would have aimed for 400+ bhp. Think thats gonna blow your mind away. And if your engine breaks, just put all the stuff over to another engine:). I dont think it would break tough!
  18. I guess you could start with getting all the gaskets, friction bearings, and apr headbolts. Then maybe rods, pistons and lower comp gasket. A service on the top and timingchains done. I would get a gearbox rebuild from SQS and an LSD diff. Then a big juicy cluch. New enginemounts and polybushes all around. With a nice turbo i think your car would be ready for some 450bhp with that setup. Correct me if I am wrong.

  21. _Yes you are riight, thats the aux waterpump. _A new one is quite expencive so I would have looked for a vw replica of some kind. _The other leak is from the termostat housing. There are kits for fixing this problem, with all parts you need.
  22. Hmmm I have broken my turbo once allready. But that was on the autobahn and with the lack of oil cooler i guess I had it comming.
  23. Ok, I pay 6 quid per gallon in Norway. . . . . . so not cheap. Thats premium petrol
