  1. Plugged in vagcom last night and checked the injector reading ,and yes it was 4.90 to 5.10 ,so Ive ordered a ECU for £65 quid and hopefully that will sort it! Would a vac leak cause a reading like this ?
  2. Cheers now were getting somewhere ! Ill hook up vagcom tomorrow and take a reading but off hand I think the reading was around 4.50 to 5.00 ms but dont qoute me! Ill take a look tomorrow and let you know. Cheers!
  3. Sorry forgot to mention I replaced the probe on saturday before I disconnected the FPR because it hadnt cured anything.I havent disconnected the battery after changing over the regulator ,would this need to be done?
  4. On road test I disconnected the FPR vac hose and drove the car and it didnt seem to cut out ,or as much. Changed the regulator with one I had from a golf 3.0bar and its still got the same problem but doesnt cut out as much! I think this might just have something to do with me lowering the pressure? Is it because its not running right I cant select go in basic settings? Was starting to think maybe faulty ecu or someone has suggested a stuck injector maybe? Cheers for the help guys!
  5. Sorry copied and paste-ted this post from the corrado forum ,I have since renewed the probe and still have the same problem! Still dont know why I cant select go in the Basic Settings though either?

  7. Having a few running problems with my VR after carrying out a few mods! Ive recently fitted 264 cams, ported inlet manifold and TB. Seemed to run fine for a while ,but then it began playing up! It starts up first time but you have to be gentle with it cause it can stall. It developed a misfire and I ended up replacing the coil ,plugs and leads. That sorted the misfire ,but now it seems to have a fuelling issue! The car cut out every now and then on every journey, so I cleaned the ISV. The idle got worse ,lumpy. I changed the blue temp switch as it sounded as though it may be running rich ,popp
  8. Yes ,try cleaning the ISV under the plastic cover by the TB if you dont know what I mean? Clean it with carb or brake cleaner. Seemed to solve my stalling ,but I still get the odd occasion.
  9. I'm running 264s which I am very happy with and have made a considerable difference accompanied with a port matched inlet mani and re profiled TB! Well worth the money! I did have to pay import charges which come to around an extra £50, but still half the price of Schrick cams and are new also!
  10. Go to stealth and have a custom suited remap for around £300!
  11. Looks sweet mate good luck with the install
  12. Just received my Power Gasket and should be going on tomorrow.Just a little bit concerned as it states on the instructions that there could be some interference with the alternator that would require some minor grinding of housing. For Corrados with VR6 engines, there may be some interference with the clearance of the hood and engine! Lets just hope there isnt! Im thinking that maybe fitting my Vibratechnic front and rear mounts may of lowered the engine slightly? The gasket is 3mm thick. Ill let you know if there is any problems
  13. I ended up getting one thrown in with my cams from America where they seem to sell lots of copies of the tool.
  14. Sorry what do you mean it doesn't help setup? What other mods and engine setup do you have if you dont mind me asking mate ?
  15. Thats good to know1 I wonder what sort of power there pushing? Cheers for replies!
  16. Interested in how much you can get the thicker ones for? And did you say youve spoken to Awesome about a group buy?
  17. Ive ordered one of these, but Im fitting it along with a few other mods so I wont be able to notice the gasket on its own !
  18. Im considering going for the Carbonio over the BMC just to be different ,but would like to know of peoples experience with them.It does increase the intake track which is said to be good for torque! http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20corrado/engine.html I am using a K&N panel and standard box at the mo and did notice a difference to paper oe filter. I slight increase in response and induction roar.
  19. Im soon to be fitting some 264 camshafts with a port matched mani and reprofiled TB. I was just wondering if later on down the line when I want to say supercharge or turbo it, would I have to take my cams out? Has anyone supercharged with 264s ?
  20. vr6turbo Are you going to rebuild the bottom end at all?Is it standard? Thinking of fitting a turbo at a later date. How far can you push a healthy standard block with standard compression ratio power wise?
  21. Im installing one of these when I carry out some mods to my car ,along with a lower temp fan switch.
  22. Cheers! I thought I had tried HIC but phoned them today and it appears that I havnt,so just waiting for a call back with a quote. Im hoping it wont affect it . I might send the forms off now and see if they say anything!
  23. How old are you mate, and how many years no claims etc?How long have you been driving for? Im looking to renew my insurance for my modded VR6 Corrado at the minute and arent impressed. Most have been over 1000 to 1500 pounds. Im 25 I have 3 years no claims but have only been driving 2 years and 9 months. Do you think if I was to take the car off the road for the remander of 3 months,so I would have been driving 3 years and also of turned 26, this would make much difference? The best quote Ive had is off of Highway through greenlight. They have quoted me just under 700 which I thought was great
