    just order new pollen filter.. and went to fit it but it is a big rect shape mine isnt are there 2 kinds???

    should be ok.. got rest of parts today.. taking my engine out wed nite.. leaving me 3 days to swap bottom ends rebuild and put in.. but i will keep u posted!!

    added sum grooved and drilled rear discs now, wit mintex pads.. seems alot better!!

    is it right that the little lug on the side of the conrods should all face to the crank pulley?? does it matter if all the lugs dont face the same way.. 3 one side do.. the other side dont? and also has any got a pic of which way rnd the pistons go in the block?? cheers..

    sorry to be a pain but can anyone get me part numbers and prices for Bigend Bolts and Main Bearing Bolts from VW.. my local dealers are pants and said they cant find them???

    i work in the trade.. if i was going to do it for a homer i would prob charge 1500 all in.. but getting a garage to do it u could be looking at anything up to 3500.. we had a scooby cum in for a full colour change repaint and my boss wanted 5K!!! i would say 2000 would be a rnd park figure..
