    if you were to fit these wheels with the 225 tyres would they cause rubbing??? is that why people change them to 205??

    Hi folks, should be looking for some alloys soonish for my vr and really like the tt competition alloys, either polished or unpolished. Roughly what kind of price should i be paying for these, dont want to get ripped off. I understand i would pay more for them polished but any help on peoples previous purchases would be much appreciated. ta

    If you do a search on here for "aerial rubber base" then the top result is a thread with the very same problem which gives you a link to vagparts that sell them. I would do a link but i would only muck it up...ha ha.

    I think most people do close to 40 in a thirty though as that seems to be the speed the traffic flows at, but yeah i really hate it when people go considerably less than the limit....aaarrrgghh

    That'll be quite a turnout if we get 20, are there facilities to clean your motor there or is it just a mad rush to the nearest petrol station with a jetwash??? Assuming they have a hose that you can fill your bucket up at??? Sorry for sounding dumb, i'm new (ish) to all this. Cheers

    yup, mines 31st dec 1997 too, got all excited for a minute as i thought it shared the same birthday as me, but now it seems it just shows the last day of the year it was manufactured....boooo

    Not normally a fan of these wheels in the smaller sizes...but they look awesome in 16", really look the nuts..

    Ha ha, just sent him a quote from the brochure that states..... "In late 1995 VW launched the Golf VR6 Highline, a limited edition based on the standard car but only available in two colours, the normal Diamond Black Metallic and the very unusual Purple Violet which has never been used on any other UK VW." Ha ha....loser.
