  1. Ive got another Apexi universal filter. Cant fault them and for the money I doubt you can buy better!
  2. Your oil pressure at idle when the oil is up to temp will be less than 25psi so will be on alot of the time. Hence when the standard one is either 0.9bar or 1.3bar, I cant remember which it is though.
  3. Thats not so good Kev! Looks like you spotted it early though and no turbo damage I hope.
  4. You dont need inline pump just decent in tank jobbie and get some red or green injectors if you want more power later.
  5. Had a hand in this one too! http://www.peugeot-gti.net/new_layout/layout.php?page=sybez
  6. :$ I know! What was I thinking back then, I was young and easily led! It pains me to say that I still have most of this in a space in my garage whilst my VR is out in the cold!
  7. Not to everyones taste Im sure not even mine now but back in 2001 this was the project I was working on! http://www.peugeot-gti.net/new_layout/layout.php?page=lizard-racing
  8. daily most likely and I hardly ever drive like a loon anyway' date=' Alex [/quote'] Surly you do. Why else you would build it? Do you ever track it or drag it? Aren't you interested in what 1/4 mile time it will do? The passion for me is in the fabrication, design and building of the setup. I only use the best parts and dont cut corners. I make everything myself and spend hours thinking and working out the best ways to overcome problems. I buy the parts from all over the world to get the best deals. There isnt much that beats the feeling you get when you either a: pull away from a prick i
  9. Im not too worried about traction as it will be my daily most likely and I hardly ever drive like a loon anyway, but if it does get silly I will fit a full Haldex system as my next project. Alex
  10. The front mount is in the standard position but there is one less mount on the block and I want to retain the 3.6 oil cooler. Internals are forged as standard, pistons are a work of art! Will get some pics of the internals when I pull the head off in the next couple of weeks. Camshafts are incredible too.
  11. If you are keeping the engine stockish then fit a genuine VW clutch, if not then Helix, Spec are good but maybe more than you want to spend./ Ive even run an AP friction plate in mine with a standard pressure plate. Fidanza, Autotech are a couple of the best. I used a very light weight (4kgs) standard one but it was too thin imo. Buy something that you have heard of thats all I would say and not crap.
  12. It cost me under £500 to put the Porsche 996 turbo calipers and Brembo discs on mine. I have seen similar kits come up for sale for £4-500, and a 312 setup has got to be a couple hundred to do right. Kevs setup must be £1300+ easy and they will stop better than my Brembos.
  13. Yeah just put a post about their ebay auction in the supercharged FAQ thread.
  14. Ben check out ebay listing numbers: 320286531554 220271939538
  15. Ben you will need Bosch red injectors for sure for a stage 2, buy them from the states it will be much cheaper. I was running a Forge 007P dump valve you get them on edition 38 for about £35-40 or ebay. Standard clutch is ok as the guys have said but do you know youve got a genuine VW jobbie on there because most of the other so called standard clutches are not up to the job. When I had my Vortech V9 stage 2, 268s, red injectors and 83mm forgies it made 293hp at Stealth.
  16. No exact numbers but it definately felt lighter moving it around compared to a 12v.
  17. What about injectors, BOV and clutch?
  18. Tell me what youve got already and I will tell you what you need and where to buy it! I mean every little part no matter how small! You going Vortech?
  19. If you want the best results both on the road and on the rollers then the answer is yes Ben. There is much more stuff I could add and if Im honest an oil cooler isnt one of them!
  20. Lets be honest about supercharging, the Rotrex chargers are the only chargers that will give you real power. They are a little more to buy but you will have far more scope to tune for more power when you want it. I ran 27psi at one point which is unheard of with a Vortech. There is a few guys on here that have seen the light or gone down the turbo route. These sites have all you need to know: http://www.rotrex.com/ http://www.stormdevelopments.co.uk/powered-by-rotrex.html
