  1. just get them serviced once a yr raj recons vortechs shouldnt really need to be touched as long as u change oil regular zr chargers bearings fry so that needs to be changed once a yr with oil as long as they are kept after u shouldnt really have no probs
  2. done a vento front on my vr but cannot find for luv nor money and eye brow spoiler for it can any one help
  3. got lights in votex front spoiler found as split but will be getting repaired when car gets resrayed where sparks is having his car done engine will be finished june then mapped should be hoping for 350 plus hopefully as vince is doing wonders at the moment
  4. im feeling realy guilty doing this group buy know im not sure what is going on but me and kevinhaywire have had no probs at all with our chargers who fitted it as raj ithink did both our cars fitting them and had no probs at all except for overfuelling

  7. mine had 124000 when i had mine charged on zr2 stage 1 no probs then i upgraded to vortech v9 stage 2 with 126000 on clock no probs at all going stage 3 but i am changing engine and making it strong as old engine couldnt take 350bhp all depends if engine was looked after or not
  8. before u say im slating everyone by my comment im not all im saying is its a bit refreshing to see something different on the scene everyones cars i have seen are wicked but every now and then its nice to have a change
  9. well i like it i think it looks the nuts totally different as everyone is doing smooth bumper etcs a bit ott but thats why i like it hes not a sheep
  10. raj sells them at nsracing but are only made for mk3 golfs only cost £1000 u are better off saving up get a chargecooler and a shimmel short inlet less pipework and change pulley to 10 or 15 psi it will go like a stink ive already got a charge cooler already and at a later date im going to change my shrick to a short inlet aswell and it will be a totally different car
  11. im using a vf stage 3 kit side mounted same kit as jake has good kit but too much pipework from charger to cooler to t/b
  12. fun car only always garaged have a mk3 8v gti aswell as a run around but have van for work aswell
  13. can anyone give any suggestions on what is the best stuff to use to clean engine bay while my engine is out as wax is very hard and not sure what to use to get a show car finish
  14. ive got front and gearbox vf mounts and put standard mount on back and had no probs at all its stiff but the back left as standard gives it a nice balance
  15. sold mk2 now got mk3 gti runaround while vr is in bits and my van for work
  16. at the moment im in 2 minds what to as i also have a chargecooler aswell and ive been looking at the shimmel short inlets manifolds aswell but ill try intercooler first and see how i get on should hopefully with the help of vince get the car ready and mapped by july santa hoping for 350bhp fingers crossed
  17. oil cooler came from avonbar racing by stanstead airport 16 row for £150 includes full fitting kit and stage 3 kit came from ns racing £1000
  18. im 33 with all my mods declared just gone stage 3 on charger told brentacare got full no claims fully comp with unlimited claims £320 i was £270 at stage 2 at 300bhp and they wanted extra £50 to go stage 3 up to 350bhp hopefully
  19. v9fsq fits all 12v vr6 and v6 24v and r32 the actual charger bolts into position as normal but it can be rotated round to run in the opposite way and then it will be just the pipework to fit car
  20. turning to vento front bit a colour concept at the moment as upgraded wings to oval one had to get second hand as stealers wanted £200 plus vat so i paid £20 for both all obd2 loom is in and stage 3 kit is on just about another week hopefully and should be up and running got to do it at night with lead light as working all day the luv of your dub
  21. my car should be ready by july santa pod going stage 3 at the moment with a couple of extras with raj at ns racing like to meet up have a couple of races hopefully with each other will be a good laugh to compare how quick we are against the turbo boys especially as some of us will be 300bhp plus

  23. all depends on astra i used to have a limited edition one of the last mk2s the burgundy one with the blue yellow ane red stripe badge indicating as imersher special engine was a 2ltre 16v but was uprated by factory and had 180 compared to 150 change exhaust chip and filter and had 200bhp really quick car and lighter than vr if its one of these u might come unstuck if its normal gsi u will eat it for dust
  24. no u dont as im going to leave it like that as its now lighter cut hole in floor and push save on petrol
