  3. 25 yrs old, parcel courier, 3 points, 3 yrs ncb, supercharged, all other mods declared (loads!) £450! wooohooo! (Adrian Flux)
  4. Think i'd keep the schrick whilst n/a and heat wrap the exhaust manifold, but for a turbo diffinatly get a schimmel, makes life so much easier/neater to fit the intercooler and gets the TB away from the hot exhaust mani and turbo, and looks the daddy! haha schrick manis are designed to work with 268 cams the best If you sell the schrick mani im very interested
  5. this might interest you http://www.thettshop.com/wheels.asp?cat=2063&product=701403

  7. for a fiver bin them and get the proper ones, not worth the hassle
  8. ABS sensor cable chaffing on disc? Sounds like what i had the other week
  9. follow the cable that runs from the wing, clipss to the suspension strut and plugs to behind the brake disc
  10. Definatly worth the trip to Stealth as RCF says!
  11. I know V1 and V2 make more boost at lower rpm and are a little bigger than the V9, but the V9 is by far the most common of the vortech based kits. Ive got 260bhp from a stage one V9 based kit and full exhaust. For 280-290bhp you'll want a stage 2 which has uprated injectors and smaller pulley you'd also what a thermostatically controlled oil cooler and low temp coolant thermostat to keep it all cool, possibly water injection aswel if you want it bomb proof kits always pop up 2nd hand for £1300 ish, but I personably would spend the little extra and buy brand new, but many do buy 2nd hand witho
  12. VW specialists alway take alot more pride in their work I think and really want to keep their reputation, dealerships just want you in and out soon as, dealerships quite often run on bonuses aswel (ie this many jobs need doing in a day, this job should take X mins, that job X mins) If more dealerships worked like specialists do they'd be so much better off! Look at Stealth, people travel hundreds of miles because of word of mouth and reputation (and Vince hahaha) Not many garages can even hope for that
  13. Once you go above 15mph the light will go out
  14. Id stay away from any car thats got rust worm that bad, could very quickly add up to alot of cash to put right
  15. anyone using them with hella celis ring lights?
  16. looks like vacuum pipe, but something someone has added on because of that sleeve on it?
  17. buy a tube of epoxy resin and coat the coilpack to re-insulate it, that will probably sort it, fingers crossed
  18. exeter porsche has one already in mettalic blue and it looked awesome sat in the sun yesterday, also a bright red gallardo across the road from it, never seen a red one before, i want one now! haha
  19. I use autoglym leather cleaner every now and then and keep a tub of halfords leather wipes under the seat, they work a treat and feed the leather, think they are about £7 for a big tub
  20. id stick with aquamist, up intil about 10psi as it will be enough and is cheaper, then if i went higher look into chargecoolers as they lose less psi than an intercooler Ive also got a low temp coolant thermostat which is worth doing as its only £17 I was going to go for the 268's and vsr but charging is cheaper tbh. Give NS Racing a call, thats where i got my kit, for a good price aswell
  21. If they are going on about reliablity someone bring up the VW Pheaton, the design brief was so impossibel half the design team resigned, like, it must be able to travel at 200mph for 24 hrs non-stop and the cabin temp should stay at a constant 18 degrees! What jap car could even come close The comparisons they make are also retarded this heavily tuned skyline would piss an s4! obviously you knob And matey saying a civic with a few hundred quid spent on it would give a 911 a good run? WTF?
  22. Has anyone ever heard a VR with full Supersprint system? Try not too as it you do you'll be a £500+ out of pocket when you can no longer fight the urge and have to buy one! Ive come close several times, but as my exhaust is only 14months old I keep stopping myself. The one I heard sounded like an 80's porsche
  23. if its a 3 box system get rid of the large 'suitcase' box I fitted a magnex on my last car and thought the same as you, couldnt wait to hear it! But it was a dissapointment I had a system built by powerflow so I knew exactly what i was getting when I bought my VR
  24. Something about nos just sounds....risky If you want to turbo it save your cash for that, I would anyway
