  4. in the past ive always found fitting new hall senders in old dizzys , you end up with lose tacky and genraly crap fitting of the sender which i dont put much faith in . i personaly go for a new dizzy wich will come with new cap and arm . all nice and ticg , shiny and new been a while since i had to get a sender on its own , so i dunno whos best to get one off have you tried all the norms GSF Euro ect??. on the other hand dizzys are widely aviliable from most part retailers .   6. bent/snapped valves , damaged tappets or camshaft , dented and bruised pistons sometimes even holed . lots of possiblitys only way to tell for sure is to start taking the engine to bits . Liam.

  11. 80 quid for a 2dr mk2 gti and an E reg (digifant) , now thats a bargin plus the 100 quid bargin that i got for a first car , mk3 polo genisis in black 1.3 and 3 veedubs ive aquired for free two golf mk2s and a breadvan that a later sold for 400 , and i dont miss it lol unlike the gti which i so wish i kept! liam

  15. with a quick stab in the dark guess , chuck a new MAF meter on it . see how that goes . failing that .engine management diagnostics is the way forwards

  20. nice pair of jaws and twist the body(with the hole for the bolt in) should come out with the core and the coil of fine wire . the prceed to carefully break the plastic surround down that will be stuck in the hub , i find usually a really sharp chisel works well for this . whilst doing this be causious not to bend or damage the abs ring clean out the hole of corrosion and gently fit the new unit with a little lube , try to avoid using the bolt to tighten it in can cause it the crack . all the preivous i wrote is based on the 'average' ABS sensor ( i cant remebr if the Vr one is metal bodied or
