    that paints hardly had chance to dry from the last repair!!! is it some Merc driver conspiracy? it was a merc that shunted Brett wasnt it?

    nothing else does!!! i just "binned" my standard wheel and air bag and got an old school BBS leather one with a raid hub adaptor, it was quite hard to find!!! you need the put the plug in resistor mod in the airbag ribbon so the light still works as it should and no faults flag, its only £10 from Awesome gti store, which is cheaper than vw at £22 for exactly the same part!!!!!     im confused!! is it the last wednesday or the 3rd wednesday????? so it could be the 24th? i will check but either way chaps i will be defo going as im off both those days, probably bring the mk1 if its dry enough!!!!! i dont mind getting it wet but the rain spoils everything!!!

    yeah i am not a fan of "double" skinned rolled edge pipes, i like the thinner metal straight or slash cut single thickness twin pipes like older BMW`s had, I think all this 4` and beyond looks a bit silly to be honest, so in answer to the poll....None of them!

    I really like the mk5 shape, the mk3 platform is hardly the most beutifull either is it!! i still think the mk1 and late mk2 and rallye are the best looking v dubs even today

    yeah i love the old skool style seats, reminds me of my old mk1 76 gti i had, they are a nice touch along with the older style dials and traditional gear knob, i was just reading about the Revo being able to get it from 230 up to 316 bhp just by a remap!!!!!!!!!!!! it would be one hell of a power hike and make it a seriously quick car!!! boxter s, territory that, for about 1/2 the money and its still a golf

    Its not "mine" but technically it is my father in law picked it up yesterday, DSG and all the extras, sat nav etc..........havnt driven it yet as i been working but will have a blast at the weekend hopefully!     oooh eerrrrrrrrrrrrrr they are back from powder coating!!!! they look like brand new rims!!! not re-assembled properly yet...thats happening Sunday get tyres put on next week, its gonna look mighty wide!!!!!!!!!!!! heres the 8j thats going on the rear...the 7.5`s for the front arent much smaller either!!!!!     Gutted to hear about your motor Brett, surely that pheonix can rise from the ashes once again? it dont look too bad, a few grand payout and buy the "scrap" back and your onto a winner, ok so it will be a Cat C or D but who cares? do the repairs and buy a supercharger!!! dont give up on the old girl she was just about "there" and could be again with a big air pump under the bonnet too!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah i would have to say some of these people are real dinlows......if he was at a porsche dealership or some rich guys gravel drive doing a Ferrari would he have been so careless? he may have admitted it but would he if it were less visible? even if they pay it dont stop the agro of getting it sorted, i wouldnt pay for the screen either, fooking clowns!

    think its going to be a lot of "kiddy cars" with ripspeed stickers mate, i only live up the road but i wont be going, if i see another spaxo or calibra with a roof spolier i will burn it!!

    would love too gav and was planning on doing that....but i am working!!! so cant make it at the moment mate, i didnt realise when it fell!! i am off work the 2 days before the meet! which is typical! unless i can wangle a rest day off or something? i will ask tommorow and see what i can achieve im really looking forward to getting them on the car, they will look well wide
