    ooooooooooooooooooh shiney new rims are here..left one is a 1.5 inch and the right is a 2 inch should get the centres back form powder coat on Monday by then i should have finished stripping and polishing up the other 113 rim bolts! i have decided to re-use the original BBS stainless ones as i have been stripping them of and signs of laquer in nitromors and polishing them back up, the new 120 chrome ones i got are nice, but the BBS logos on the originals have swung it for me i want these whells to be spot on [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1190284818_2067_FT195266_img_01.jpg][/lightbox]

    they purge your system, replace the gas with "new" and spray a deoderaiser into all the air vents which kills bacteria and stops the smells, £100 is a decent price for an aircon re-gas and system check and clean

    you need 5x100 fitment for a VR6 and an offset between et25-et38 or close to that, RH ZW1`s only come in 8x17 et60 but come with adaptors to make them et35, you can pick 2nd hand ones up for about £600, the BBS RS 7.5x17`s are rare and very expensive! plenty of other BBS styles to choose from that look nice on a VR....but Be QUICK!!! BBS have gone out of buisness so once the stocks dry up you wont get anymore!!!

    update..............rims are split down, cleaned and all ready to go to the powder coaters tommorow! it only took me around 4 hours start to finish and i had no grief or problems with the 120 bolts!!! which is a result! i have taken loads of pics of the process and "how to" maybe put a sticky guide up? if anyone was intrerested as the process is pretty much the same for any split rim.     people who have never had or dont like vw`s always challenge Volkswgens on the road as despite what they might think or say still they see them as the "benchmark" for a decent hot hatch, sure there not the fastest cars in the world but they all do what they are supposed too, i find i flattering when some chopper gives it large in a modern "fast" car only for his ego to become as small as his tackle when he gets blown away by a 10+ year old Dub, they usually convince themselves " it must be modded" but mine aint not engine wise anyway

    Yeah i guess it might look odd..... i would have the backing ring part black and leave the nut part silver (as they are plastic!) and use the original black BBS badges, i have seen a few like it and i thought it looked nice? its just i got to get 2 new plastic nuts as a couple have some lugs missing and the ring parts rattle about if they drop off behind them, i didnt want to paint new stuff incase it got wrecked!! i suppose i can experiment as they wont need painting till the last knockings and i will have a spare couple to paint and see what i prefer, this set up looks nice too though but
